Hi Oli, thank you. Really appreciate the advice. So 275/ 40/20, what rating should I look for? apologies if I'm asking the wrong questions, I am clearly not tuned into this.

It’s a 275/40/19 You need. And depends what the axle weights are on your shuttle - take a pic of the weight plate inside the bonnet and send it to me :)

Hi Oli, you are a gentleman, thank you for your help. I have no idea what a weight plate is, hopefully what I have sent it correct? I also sent you the stamps on the actual wheels

Your front axle is the heaviest at 1680kg, so 840kg per wheel/tyre. Wheels are man enough, tyres need to be a 102 at least.

I'm looking for advice on wheels and tyre option for my new T6.1 (T28, 4motion, 199, dsg). Having searched around the forum I'm thinking of a 19" wheel option. I'm struggling to pick the best tyre size, 245/45/19 is a common choice, but I think this is oversized. Searching the web I've found 265/40/19 102xl rated tyres that are a closer diameter to stock and are the correct load rating (I think?) for my T28.

Has anyone had any experience using the 265/40/19 tyre size option, good or bad?

Also, If I opted for the 265/40/19 what would wheel width / offset would you recommend?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Adam

@ Donk - Great tool thanks.

@ .50 - Thanks for the pic, the fit looks great. can you post a side on view? Also how's the speedo accuracy with 265/45/19?

45/19s put the speedo spot on with a satnav.

Here's my 19s running 45 profiles but these are banded steels and not for everyone.
