Tyres for staggered 19” on a T32 4Mo

Hi All,

Am really hoping someone can advise on the best option for tyre sizes For my 2017 T6 Four-Motion (T32). I am confused…

I have just bought a set of 19” Navis Holeys which are a staggered fitment. Fronts are 19x8.5 et35 and rears are 19x10 et40.

If I fit 275/45/19 on the rear (108 load rating), what size should I put on the front? Was looking at 255/45/10 (104 load rating)

Ideally I want to keep the speedo reading right, and as the rims are staggered I’d rather not use the same size front and rear.

N.B: Van is not used commercially, is my daily but often used to carry two Enduro motorcycles in the back.

The final query is trying to find the same tyre in the above two sizes. For example I can get a Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmentric 3 SUV (108 rated) in a 275/40/19, but not the 255. For that I would have to fit the Eagle F1 Asymmentric 3 Silent (104 rated). Would this work?

You can’t have that front/rear tyre combination because you have a 4 motion. There is a 5.6cm difference in circumference. You need to have the circumferences virtually identical.
I’m led to believe it will ruin the Haldex unit.

A bit of research shows that a 275/40/19 is very close in circumference to the original factory circumference and a 245/45/19 is only a couple of mm difference in circumference front to rear.

Disclaimer:- confirm these findings for yourself before buying the tyres.

Thanks for the info. So what you are saying above is that (potentially) 275/40/19 on the rear and 245/45/19 on the front could work?

It looks that way on the ‘will they fit’ website size comparison. I run 20’s on a 4 mo and have 275/40/20 rear and 245/45/20 front.
You need to understand that the profile number (40 or 45 in this case) is not a measurement in millimetres, it’s a proportion of the width. So a 275/40 has a larger profile than a 245/40 hence the circumference difference.

Interesting stuff!
I get the differing width/profile(%) adds up to the same actual tyre diameter but isn’t the size you’re running quite large? >5% of the standard OEM diameter if I have my workings right?
Does that work ok? I assume so obviously! Are you lowered at all? Or would this work only on standard height?

Yeah my circumference is about 5% difference from original.
I’m lowered about 50 mm and there’s no issue.
275/40/20 is quite a common size to run on 20’s
