If there was one thing that could improve the service at @CRS Performance it would be if the alignment could be done in house after the suspension upgrade. That would truly make it a one stop shop for the perfect setup. Otherwise faultless in their work and after sale support

I'll get the alignment done asap. Anyone got any recommendations on where to go for the Hertfordshire area?

Read up on the Hunter threads as there's a right way and a wrong way for the operator to set up a T6... possibly as empty but give a look and you'll find the info on here as for tyre places anywhere with an Hunter alignment setup.

Thanks. Looks like A1 German Car Specialists is nearby and has the right kit. I'll get it booked in

I was there last week and Steve said they are getting a Hunter setup soon. They’ve just taken on another garage unit close by so now have room.

This is being addressed as we realise it would finish off a perfect scenario , we are there fore opening a specialised alignment centre with tyre fitting bay and also corner weight balancing equipment , so the clients who really want a full treatment and set up of their chassis we can do it . update to follow

Our development ID Buzz is at the dealer ship waiting for delivery as well so lots to come from this side

Since buying the T6.1 (T28) campervan conversion, I have read many articles about what suspension is best to lower the van yet keeping the same drive quality, only to be more confused at the end of each. I decide, based on budget at the time, to go for chilli jam lowering springs. The springs gave us the look we were after however, made the ride seriously hard to the point we breaking rear springs.
After reading more on this forum CRS kept coming up. I spoke with Steve on the phone a few times about the issue I had, there was no hard sell, no negative feed back to what I had or what I had done to lower the van, just honest advice on how to put it right.
After a lot of discussion we settled on H&R coil over kit & H&R anti roll bars. We drove down from Aberdeen to get van fitted out. The work was completed in 2 hours and we were on our way home.
Even my wife, who drives the van day to day instantly felt the difference as did the poor kids who had to sit in the back! Since then we have been to Holland and over to west coast of Scotland and loved every minute of how the van drives / handles.
I would have zero issue recommending CRS to any novice, such as myself, to help get it right the first time.
Thanks again CRS.

Absolutely agree, excellent advice and service from the two Steve’s.
About 4 weeks ago we also visited CRS to have a lift kit fitted to our campervan, yes, Steve can go up as well as down..
Fitted Koni shocks and lift spacers , kept the original T32 springs.
On the drive home we both could feel the difference on the motorway, so stable, and also, now fun on the twisty lanes where we live, so a lifted van can drive better than the standard factory suspension.
Worked out cheaper too, inc fitting than most other lift kits available, so very happy.
Steve was also very gracious and accommodating with us, as we were delayed a few hours from our booked appointment.
Highly recommended.

it doesn't seem Steve needs the reviews and recommendations with the business coming in and the followers here, but credit where it is due, CRS Performance know their stuff! Usually i am a 'get 3 quotes' kind of guy, but the reviews speak volumes so i jumped in. I rang Steve with my issue. The saggy rear end. A converted camper, added bike rack and the caravan. It left the handling feeling very insecure and the steering very 'loose'. I am not one for lowering. I like the ride height, as VW intended, and i'm not fussed on the street cred (each to their own on lowering. Its cool, but not for me) and am more about practicality. I have a T30 so Steve recommended the Koni upgrade and Active shocks, plus T32 rear springs. Difference is amazing both on handling with and without the caravan. Money very well spent. Don't go anywhere else. Thank you Steve!

Just been to CRS today to sort out my 10 year old T 5.1 well Steve and his crew are so nice and there work ethic is top notch van straight in and struts out in a flash full set of Koni active and new 30mm drop to the front and kept the 40mm at the rear now the van sits level, went out with steve at the helm for a test drive not slowing down for the speed ramp by his unit and wow no crash bang wallop and the rest of the test drive was also very impressive. All i can say is this is the best job i have had done on the van and with Steve's help it has transformed it 100%.
Many thanks lads

I just want to add my praise for Steve & his team @CRS Performance.

I rang him for some advice on the kit fitted on my van, he suggested I popped in for them to look. Diagnosis in 30secs & swapped the front springs for his custom design specification which better suit the weight of my van as it is now, in under an hour:thumbsup:

Top tech knowledge/engineering expertise & customer service is hard to find like this.
Suffice to say I'm a very happy customer here & well worth the 4+ hours each way it took me to get to him for anyone;)
