Making decisions on Rear Suspension for T6.1

Hi, I have searched and read many posts, experiences, solutions and advice on the T6 Forum including the ‘back heavy and traction thread” about suspension issues and seeking to make a decision on my options. I have met and read about @TTKT solution and also read @AussieMick posts from the Forum...

    Saggysaurus

Hi all. My converted t28 is a little on the rear saggy side. It’s currently on the original springs/set up and wondered what are my options to straighten it out as well as lower it a bit? Thanks

    T28 spring and shock ‘upgrade’

Hello. I’m not overly happy with my current ride height. It’s just the std t28 set up but fully converted so I suspect I have a saggy arse. I was thinking lowering springs but fear the ride will be harsher. I have zero intentions of adjusting coilovers once on however I heard that may...

    Camper + towbar = sag

Hi, I've got a t28 with full camper conversion, there's the usual sag over the rear which to date hasn't bothered me over much, but I've recently had a towbar installed and this added to the weight of the conversion plus the occasional passengers, reading past posts on the subject it seem...

    Suspension needs tweaking

So the van lowered on HR Koni’s but the suspension needs tweaking. Currently the front is on 370mm and the rear is on 400mm. Question is do I bring the rear to match the front or front to match the rear bearing in mind it’s a Caravelle?

Sportline standard suspension? Any good for my saggy camper?

So a friend is giving me his standard sportline, 30mm lower suspension. Reason being I have a t6 was102bhp bog standard t28, now it’s fully campered the weight at the back sits the ear a little lower than the front, it’s actually around 3-4cm lower so as I’m getting the shockers from him which...

    Rear Springs Question

Hi all, I’ve been worried about my saggy arse for a while (I’m at that age!!) so after reading on here I decided the solution was to put some T32 springs on there thinking the original springs must still be in place. Anyway I decided to look under the van to check and the springs are actually...

Fitted T32 rear springs but still got a saggy rear

Hi I’ve got a 2017 T30 on standard springs. Since conversion it has been sitting low on the rear end. I recently ac some T32 shuttle rear springs from a forum member and had them fitted yesterday. Unfortunately the stance still appears similar to before. Is this to be expected? I was hoping...

Water tank causing saggy rear. Solutions?

Morning All. Can anyone recommend suspension specialist who could help me, ideally up to 100 miles from London? Thanks Just had a water tank fitted and was assured it will be postioned for perfect weight distibution, but when full it seats much lower at the back. To be fair drives great, no...

    Suspension Confusion!

Evening all, I have seen a lot of chat regarding suspension, in particular, the lowering of it and I wanted to ask what is the reason behind this? Is it safety, good looks or fuel economy? Or a combination? My van is definitely heavier (obviously) following the conversion though I feel it...

Eibach Pro 50mm springs sag when towing

Hi I have the eibach pro 50mm springs from custom vanz and standard dampers. The van sits great but if I hook my bike trailer or put a bit of weight in the rear it sits lower than the front. Is this because the standard dampers are not sufficient , if so do I go for a B8 Bilstein? Cheers James

Very pleased today ...had fitted Koni dampers fitted with EBC yellow stuff pads ......Quick..Friendly..and listen’d to my needs......my T32 204 auto had a habit that it wanted to lift the front end and spin the wheels when pulling away (Steve. Recommended adjusting the lift on the dampers...

Suggestion To Correct Stance After Conversion

Following the completion of our camper conversion, I notice that the van looks decidedly middle-aged (ie its backside has gone south). It is a t30 and I wonder if a spring change to t32 will do the trick. Not a fan of lowering the van to compensate. It’s not really that far out, but if there is...

Suspension sagging at the rear. What can I do?

We've purchased our very first camper van conversion (T6 LWB, T30 Highline), due to collect in next few weeks and we're looking to add a few features prior to collection. One being new alloys and lowering the suspension. The van has standard 16 inch alloys at present, and we're looking at...
