Has anyone fitted these with headlights in position and where did the locate the canbus resistors ?

I stuffed mine inside the headlights. Then when I realised that the LEDs were rubbish, I took them out and fitted HIDs.

I was hoping these would be better than Osram Nighbreaker fitted at the mome
nt and shelled out 65GBP expecting the 'mutts nuts' but if they are rubbish then !!
Where they the THQ version you fitted ... ?
What HID kit did you fit ?

@Mocko1962 are you fitting these in the standard H7 headlights from a caravelle or fitting to THQ headlights? I have a set sitting waiting to go in the standard H7's just need a free moment to get them fitted.

Hi all,
Just noticed on the new install that when I turn lights on pos 1 , sidelights, as I sometimes drive with tears in as well that the front LED dim.
Seems weird to me if I’m switching from DRL to sidelights they go darker :/

Have Carista but I doubt thats going to help.

Anyone know if this can be set to stay as bright as DRL mode is when set to sidelight?

Thanks

s

That’s normal behaviour for headlights, it’s assuming the light is lower if you’ve put your lights on (even side:parking lights) so reduces the output of DRL to avoid glare

Factory LEDs don’t dip when you turn on sidelights, in fact they don’t change at all it just adds rear sidelights

They must be using the DRLs as sidelights then. Makes sense really sidelights are pointless really nowadays
Correct, the THQ DRL is also the side light. In the UK we have to use the side lights as parking lights if parked on a road with a speed limit over 30mph when it's dark.

That’s what I meant, they should only really be for parking now we have DRLs, if it gets darker then lights on, I see no need for putting sidelights on while driving. It’s not like modern alternators don’t have the power to spare
