Review: CRS Performance UK

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Steve and his team to sort out my suspension which has been grating on me ever since I made the mistake of added lowering springs to my T6.
I learnt more in two hours than I've done in 6 months.

Had the Koni shocks added which have made a huge difference.

Great setup & people - even the coffee was decent.

100% worth a conversation.

Glad to hear we could improve the set up you had on the van ,! It is however More solid proof that "ONE KIT FITS ALL" will only satisfy a lucky few . If these vans were all the same weight this concept could work , as we all know they vary massively. Advice to new comers to the Transporter scene , If a supplier doesn't ask lots of questions about your vehicle , and what you do with it , steer clear !!

I was in a huge rush as we're heading for Europe today and when I spoke to Steve on Wednesday he shipped out a replacement spring, free of charge, with no questions asked and no fuss. Amazing customer service, particularly as I wasn't the original customer.

I got the spring fitted by my local independent VW guys this morning and all good for the trip.

Huge thanks once again to Steve @CRS Performance - the rear spring on the other side broke last week and within a morning (text message and 70 second phone call) Steve had offered to send me a replacement spring over at no charge.

Spring fitted by my local indy yesterday and back up and running ready for MOT next week.

Absolutely tremendous customer service.
 
Finally...
If you're contemplating a suspension upgrade, look no further than @CRS Performance.

After bombarding Steve with endless questions for months, I finally made the trek to Cannock last Friday, and it was worth every mile (just 60 for me).
Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and whisked to my own desk—clearly, they needed to keep me busy and away from the workshop after bothering them for months.

A few hours later, I was thrilled to see my van with it´s new suspension, complete with a perfect wheel alignment and new top mounts.
Hitting the first roundabout just half a mile down the road made me feel like I was driving a brand new vehicle.

Yes it hurts to swipe the card but a couple hundred miles later, I'm absolutely loving this transformation.

Huge thanks to the team at CRS Performance - I can’t recommend you enough - 5 stars all the way!

Another 5*…

2nd time at CRS, first time was for just lowering springs as that’s all my budget allowed at the time when I bought the van.

Today, I was in for the H&R “Ultimate Kit” after spending 6 months being pulled between SoLow/ Bilstein/ H&R. The deciding factor was this Review page and sheer amount of positive feedback from real life users (without the forum it might have been different being led by fancy marketing on social media). Whilst I can’t comment on the other brands, going from my initial setup to the H&R is the best money I have spent on the van. Potholes are far less of a concern now, steering is positive and breaking feels better too.

The vans sat at about 80mm in the picture, running 19” 255/45 tyres (Staggered) but I’ll likely go to 20” to fill the rest of the arch gap.

I was tempted by lower options, but nothing I’ve read has given me personally the confidence, and at the end of the day as a camper I think it’s low enough and practical enough for how I use the van.

Anyway, brief ramble over. Thanks again to Steve @CRS Performance and all the lads.

Another big thankyou to Steve and the team at @CRS Performance for getting me in at short notice for a repair.

Last weekend found a snapped front H&R spring. Quick call to Steve and he was able to fit me in today to swap both front springs to his own design, lowered springs.

All completed very efficiently and copious amounts of coffee available.

We had a look at the rear springs and whilst in tact, were looking a bit rusty so I had these swapped at the same time along with the spring seats, so now have 4 new and matched springs.

Van drove very well on the way home, seemed more composed. Very pleased.

Similar to above, cracked rear spring. Spoke with Rob and managed to fit me in the same day. Been there 10 minutes, van parked in workshop waiting to go up on ramp and the other spring snapped! Eibach comfort lowering springs been on about 5 years, always looked very compressed. New rears fitted, same drop and no longer coil bound. Thanks guys 👍
 
Another very satisfied customer here! Second Van I’ve taken to Steve . Had H&R kit fitted as recommended. Steve is a total gentleman his son and staff are too..
Well worth the 220 mile round-trip. Must say the drive home was better than the drive down.. 5 star service! Best upgrade to my van to date 🙏🏻
 
Van went in yesterday for the @CRS Performance treatment. Similar to above, after searching for coilovers from the likes of Bilstein and SoLow, and after getting responses that didn't fill me with confidence from THQ and independent fitters, decided to bite the bullet and opt for the full 50-80mm H&R kit from CRS.

What a great bunch of guys at CRS, no-bull service from Steve, Rob and the team, just genuine guys who know everything there is to know about suspension.

The ride is transformed from the old 40mm lowering springs that were on the van. Ride quality wasn't high on my priority list, it was more about aesthetics, but wow, the ride is superb. I no longer brace myself for every bump and pothole and cornering is a completely different animal to what it was. It now feels like driving a sport SUV than a van.

This is down about 70mm on 245/45/20 fronts and 275/40/20 rears and love it.
