[Guide] How To Retrofit MFSW And Cruise Control To T6 Eu6 2019 Startline - Also Hacking DSG Paddles For CCS

If anyone has fitted an MFSW similar to mine, on a start line van, but with different buttons (such as mode or an ACC button) that doesn't work, can you please try changing the button coding to B0FFFF (or B1FFFF if you have paddles). This may get them working and post here what happened.
Hi, I have the ACC buttons from a mk8 golf. The lights work on the wheel but nothing else at all.I don't understand the re coding the buttons, I have VCDS but can't find what you are talking about.
the rest of your post I have followed so far but not quite sure where to go next
Any advice would be gratefully received
Thanks

MQB buttons won’t work on a t6, you have two options:-
1. Buy an emulator to get it work
2. Swap the ic inside the buttons ( this will also require ACC working in you car)

Yes, if you remove this ic from original t6 buttons and solder it to your golf 8 buttons it will work
I have done it on my T5 GP but with mk7 buttons

I have had ugly plastic wheel, now trying to swap for MFSW type: 2H0419091M - without cruse controll
I would like to keep cruise control on stalks.

Please can anyone help with correct loom (or if anything else is necessary)? I still don´t understand if any coding would be necessary, so if anyone may advice a link or pointer to coding for my particular case, I would be very gratefull.

Please help! :)

Might have to look at the emulator or buy a mk7 wheel
The emulator works with ccs not acc
The new version is compatible with mk8 buttons

To be honest I can’t find anywhere to purchase it on there even with translation

If your car had no CCS than it is likly that the CCS wire from Stalk or MFSW to ECU is missing.
This one is needed for using CCS.
But as i already said, if Horn is sounding when pressing I:0 than in addition to the missing wire, you have some error in your wiering add all.
Go to Volkswagen AG erWin Online get an account there.
Buy a 1 Houre or 1 day Flatrate, download all documentation regarding your car together with the compleete wiering diagramms.
Compare what you have done to how it is shown in the wiering diagramms.

Regarding Coding for CCS with MFSW on EU6 Engine, with LIN bus of MFSW connected to BCM T73b Pin 36:
ECU 01:
Set Byte 05, Bit 5

BCM 09:
Set Byte 29, Bit 6
Set Byte 09, Bit 3
Set Byte 15, Bit 0
Set Byte 17, Bit 2
Set Byte 17, Bit 7

Dear Robert, Thank you very much for the reply.
Perhaps I haven´t expressed myself correctly. My car have CCS on stalks, from factory. It is working and I would like to keep it as it is. Thats why I got wheel without CCS buttons.
I only need to make buttons for audio/phone controll working on the wheel. Does your coding advice apply then?

Hi Shadow, I have decided to go with the mk7 steering wheel at the moment. There was a post about the wire configuration on t12 but it doesn’t match mine ? There is a grey wire in pin 11 and I know that there isn’t a pin on the wheel connector any ideas ? Thanks

Might have to look at the emulator or buy a mk7 wheel
So I got a Golf Mk7 wheel and still no joy, I’m going to go over what I have done and see if there’s anything I’ve missed or could do better. I know that the pins in T41 stalk connectors weren’t quite right so does anyone know what they are and where to get them from ? When I turn the lights on the wheel buttons do illuminate but in white?? I thought the Mk7 had red ???

Ok, so an update so far, lots of grey hairs and sleepless nights!! I have 3 buttons that work on my Mk7 wheel RHS page left and right scr through the radio channels and the ok button turns the radio down, cracking thats just why I fitted the wheel!!!
my question is, in VCDS if I select multifunction module in can gateway the buttons stop workin. I know other people have retrofitted from non MFSW but do I need to change the Squib ring ? VCDS connection to steering wheel tries 3 times and then error so there is no controller that it detects. Is the controller in the wheel or on the column? Any ideas
Thanks

did you swap the ic ?
Can you post autoscan with vcds ?

The KUFATEC MFSW kit mentions it requires a "On board power supply control unit highline, if not already installed"

Can anyone explain what this control unit is, and how I find out if its installed on my van?

(17 plate startline, no CCS)

Cheers

Hi,

I'm just about to fit mfsw with cruise. I've got the correct wheel and loom, just need to get the 3 repair wires.

Does anyone know the correct part numbers for them, or the correct terminal sizes? I don't want to have the van immobilised due to having the wrong terminals.

Many thanks
