Probably best with some plastic trim removal tools ,vent pull out once you get them free with tools ,remove the dash end cover with trim tool then remove the lower glove box ,4 spline drive screws .
Then top glovebox/tray thing has a screw on the bottom which can be seen now lower one is removed. The top glovebox needs prising and is quite tight .
Evening all, so got back from a weekend away and thought I’d crack on with the interior stuff that arrived from van x on Friday, all in all it only took me 90 mins to do the doors, handles, electric window switches both sides, both vents, and finally the glove box. It wasn’t tricky as I thought, upper glove box has to many clips lol but all done, here is the before and after pics.
I’m really impressed with the quality of these products, all were packaged so well and all look mint. Would defo recommend this dash package.
Matt.
I have the comfort dash but I prefer the modified glove box on the standard dash. I miss the storage pocket underneath the glove box and the two on each side. Mine are covered with a brushed silver trim.
See, its not all rosey in Comfort Dash world.
Ha ha well funny you should ask that, there was no instructions, but I could easily do this again if your near Portsmouth I can help or could talk you through it on here.

It's the chrome strip below between the 2 glove boxes. I can see why they did it, it makes it more car like but I would have preferred the extra storage.

Oh I see what you mean now, I still have the bit on mine, I haven’t covered that up and have no plan to, as I agree it’s great storage and it’s easy for the usb plug etc.
Now got the ' velle Door Cards in, with the gloss window switch. My gloss black, matt black, brushed alloy theme is gradually taking shape. Only downside is the glare from the gloss bits in this weekends sunlight - thank heaven that's not everyday!

They aren't cheap, especially with the ambient lights (and redoing the Dynamat). Used the VanX rubber mats instead of the VW bits to save some pennies.
Did a centre console at Bala this weekend.
A few bits you need todo to mak it fit to the floor trim
Pull carpet back as far as you can so it’s now covering the seats. Release the three clips just by pulling them up. Turn the whole thing towards the passenger side as you’re looking down on it. It won’t come out if you try turning to drivers side.
Now it’s out, masking tape the passenger side inner edge and the front edge to where the gearshift cables go. Mark down two inches and cut off the two side leaving the drivers side on the corner. Refit floor trim, do not refit carpet. Carefully fitt the new centre console and locate with two screws. Now more masking tape to the passenger side of where you’ve aready cut. Mark the bottom edge of the console. Now remove the console and the trim. From the line you’ve made follow that to the front edge but not the drivers side. Refit the floor trim and now the carpet. Fit console and all the other bits and you will be done.
