I've had Michelin CC2's 245/45's on the front and 275/40's on the rear for 2 years, 15k miles. Inflated to 40psi unloaded, and 42psi fully laden. No sign of irregular tyre wear on front or rear. Still good for another 15k I reckon!
I've found some 20 inch wheels that I like but they are 8 inch wide, most I've seen seem to be 8.5 or 9 from what I've seen on here aswell. Any thoughts on tyre size if I was to get these, would a 245 work? Thanks.

What wheels are they? 8in wide rims / wheels or 8j will possibly be a little recessed in the wheel arch. This could be fixed with some spacers to bring them out a little. Nice wheels that are too narrow aren't nice wheels in my opinion. If you can identify them there is a wheel size/offset checker that you can use to compare what you have against what you're getting... somewhere...
