Hiya folks gotta problem now.... fitted some of those Lazers yesterday to add to the crap main beams...... awesome ! no flickers or warnings, fitted the HID's for you 55w kit today..... awesome once again no flickering or warnings. Dipped stays on with the Main on mine with the THQ v2's, as soon as I switch to Main.... up comes the bulb out warning, it stays on with the lights switched off. Anyone know what's occuring ? Thanks .

I think this has been reported by others who have tried a 55w HID kit. I remember seeing a post from someone that after contacting the supplying company they were advised to go for a 35w kit instead. Pretty sure they did so and all worked well afterwards.
Thanks for that Chris, i'll hang on this for a while though just in case somebody else has a suggestion, its a bit of a ballache keep getting that bumper off and on ,i'll give the firm a bell tomorrow if they're working of course. I thought it might be possible that the decoders on both highs and lows might be having a bit of a fall out.
Hi Johnny, nothing to do with the HIDs, 35 or 55w work fine, it's the LEDs on the main beam.
The LEDs don't have enough resistance, so the Canbus thinks there's a bulb out.
More likely to see it on main beam flash.
A pair of resistors in line, sorts it out just fine. Google it and you will see a few companies doing options, mine came from China and I now have no problems.
Do they flicker slightly with the engine running?
You need to get out and look at the lights to notice, most do, but the resistors sort that as well.
I don't think you'll have much luck getting anything on mail order right now, but that's the way to go.
Other option is to get someone with VCDS to switch off the lamp warning, that works as well.

So, resistors sorted out the lamp warning and flicker.
Main beams are fantastic.
55w / 5000K HIDs are brilliant on dipped and do not dazzle other road users.
You did it the other way around with putting the LEDs in first, I had no problems with the HIDs, but when I added the LED main beams, that's when I got the lamp out.
As to why your LEDs were fine before and not with the HIDs, might be a cumulative thing with the Canbus?
In any case, HIDs and LEDs with resistors work fine.

Thanks Mikem, I couldn't understand why the leds were ok before I fitted the hids though, don't think they were flickering either . I'm pretty sure the firm that make the Lazers do a set of resistors so I'll bell them tomorrow. Cheers mate .
Ref: MIKEM and CHRIS...... These T6's are weird beasts, as dusk has fallen I've just been out to line my new hids up to next door's fence where I'd taped the old beam lines profile to..... spot on, fantastic ! Main beams on..... NO BULB OUT WARNING !!!!! I had forgot to mention Mikem that my original High beam bulbs are still connected, i've chipped into one of their lives to feed the Lazer's relay, hence there must still be some resistance showing. Watch this space though cos' i've got a sneaky feeling that the gremlin could very well return. Thanks to all anyway !!

I've just realised that you are not talking about LED H1 bulbs in your main beam, but additional lights?
Everything I was talking about was related to LED H1 bulbs in your main beam, these need the resistors, I've no idea about the add ons, maybe ask the manufacturer or THQ?
Sorry if I misled you, I thought Lazer was a make of H1 LED..

Don't expect too much from the LEDs.
HIDs have been tried and tested on here to establish that they get the best out of these lights.
