We could go on all day, but I must refer my learned friend to the Peugeot 3008.

Whilst you cant be sure that this picture shows the car with dipped beam only on, I can assure you that it does.

That's a rare picture - I'm presuming it was taken just before smashing into the back of another car or going straight into a tree. When I search for a 3008 picture, this is what I get:

To anyone who might be considering the upgrade to THQ headlights, I'll shortly have a set of mint condition V2 (with the dynamic indicators) with Philips Ultinon LED bulbs for sale. They'll be available shortly after Christmas, once I've fitted my OEM LED headlights. I'll be looking for £300 with the bulbs, £250 without. I'll also post in the for sale section.

It’s on full beam, PSA are not dumb enough to produce a car that did not comply to local laws. Yeah there’s no point in carrying it on, I don’t care how many lights people fit, I was just trying to help. I’ve stated the facts and shown the proof so I’ll leave it at that.

Thank you for your concerns Andy. I've forwarded your comments to BMW, as it appears they didn't get the memo either.

Anyway, back on topic, the replacement bells and whistles HID arrived today. So in they've gone and so far all is good. No flickering this time. Yes, the close up has a yellow tinge, but then so do the OEM xenons on my Tig from certain angles.

For those that haven't seen my earlier posts, I've gone for 35w, 4300k.

I'll take that. I think I've finally found the sweet spot, for dipped beam at least.

Do these give a bulb out warning on the dash and or does anything need disabling via vcds?.

They definitely make the THQ projector sing on diped beam now and look the same as Mikems.

Just get one of Bryns GTR Ultra or the Novsight LEDs for the main beam now?

I like that dubber36, I think the THQ projectors control and cut off very nicely the HIDs, the combination is very good.

I was wondering for a minute why the beam is higher on the left, then the penny dropped.. Doh!

My THQ / HID are some of the best headlights I've ever had and to compare, my daily driver is BMW adaptive LEDs

It's all subjective, but having tried pretty much everything, they are, (in my opinion) the best.

Disadvantages... just the slow warm up time as with every aftermarket HID.

Both LEDs and HIDs 'should' fail the MOT, but swapping back to halogens for the day will take about 15 minutes.

If I want to fit HIDs to my THQs and can't be bothered reading 48 pages ;) is this the one to buy? Is there any disadvantage to HIDs over LEDs?
I am the same so a set of these in the THQs and the work out the box without warning lights or changing setting in the ecu . This for h4 standard set up on my van at the moment .
Thanks for all your work as it could help a lot of other .

If you have H4's you need to code dipped beam to stay on with main beam to get them to work 100% properly. Or buy the additional loom from THQ / Travelin Lite. This is a must if you fit HIDs as you'll be turning them on and off going between dip and main beams, and HIDs don't like that.

THQ V2 with HID bulbs fitted today- not as tricky as I might have thought and even managed not to break anything.. first thoughts are it’s a big improvement, I haven’t driven at night but will take a couple of pictures when I do. I need to find someone with VCDS to get main and dipped on together but dab works fine and no bulb warning. Overall I think thq lights are pretty good as a unit, the fit was spot on. I tidied up the wiring a little but will just keep and eye on it. I bolted the ballast to the battery divider on the passengers side and doubled sided taped it on the drivers side- see pics. I also noticed the round plastic washer thing that came with the bulbs is a cutting template for the rubber cover which worked really well. Huge thanks to @dubber36 and @Mikem for blazing the trail on this one!
