The van was a new build order and delivered in 2018. . . .





the van come with 3 years warranty as all do. . . .



but from new you have the chance to add in an extra two years factory extended warranty. . - which we did.


this extended warranty runs out in April 2023.

so what's been done under warranty ?

at 36253 miles the Fan Blower resistor pack gave up.

i called out VW Assist, they fixed it the following day with a new part from TPS.

well, it hadn't failed. . . . but was chattering when cold.

now i had this on my last T5.1 van at 85k miles. . . . and knew the sounds it made right away.

on that previous van i just left it and left it until it was a terrible racket. . .

with this in mind. . . .

i put it to the dealer, that the DMF was failing,

that i had 5year warranty,

and they would have to do it at some point anyway.

so they agreed to do it at that point,... . .

even though we was all in agreement that it was still ok at that point - just starting to get chattery.

At 39k miles we had the DSG box service as per the service schedule,

we also had the Brake Fluid change as per the service schedule,




at the same time the dealer highlighted a lower front engine mount was failing. . . . "that will be another warranty claim" i thought.
