For sale - 1x set of B14 coilovers, low mileage and in excellent, original condition. ;)

Genuine reason for sale, selling due to upgrading to Koni Special Actives.

I was stunned to see that my B14’s had developed a 90mm drop over the last 5 years and that was at the top of their adjustment! No wonder the ride quality around town had turned to rat shit.

My days of riding at 90mm+ drops are over, I need something with better low speed comfort as that’s where I spend most of my time driving.

So with knowledge/advice provided by Steve at CRS and then the work carried out by the very meticulous Chris at the Van Cave.

A shit road is still a shit road, there’s no miracle cure for poorly surfaced roads, but driving over speed bumps, tree roots and pot holes is a revelation. I’m able to drive in a straight line now, previously I’d be swerving from one road imperfection to another.

There’s no noticeable difference in roadholding, despite being on comparative stilts with only a 50mm drop now.

Picture courtesy of Chris, I’ve not had chance yet to take my own -

Van looks great Insert Coin , Probably driving well too . You have been an avid supporter of the B14 kit for a long time and defended it proudly ,.. We do take notice ! Nice one .
yesterday we removed a komfort kit that was like new. Client didnt want to scrap it because of the cost but we could not improve the vehicle as it was. , Camper converted heavy and completely collapsed rear springs which is a common problem making the rear too low ( adjusted to the highest point ) . This issue is a sellers problem not the manufacturers because the companies Selling these kits. simply don’t know it’s limitations . The next generation B14 is being touted around now and looks better made but initial trials are suggesting they are too firm to be viable , we will wait to see I guess .

The arrival Of our new staff member and workshop manager, James. He has been an incredible addition to the CRS UK company.
James has the same surname as me, and this is no coincidence as he is one of my sons who successfully runs my South African company for me. His elder brother Ashley is now running that side of things for us.
Ill introduce James to you all in the new year , talented suspension engineer who has won the VW racing Challenge in SA. Twice overall and Accomplished more in 5 years than anyone before him .
his Race car set up and preparation skills will be a great asset to us, and he has already fixed issues on performance cars here that other specialists couldn’t find !,
I am sure many of you will meet him in the new year and once you understand his accent you will see how cool this young man is !
We have some great things happening in the new year which include new kit designs and extended product range of the EVO TECHNIK spring kits , we are up to 16 different spring kits for the transporter range now and still looking at 3 more developments. We are truly blessed to be working with 4 of the best suppliers in the business who share our vision and passion.
let’s start the new year with a visit to Autosport International in Birmingham where we are planning to meet some of these suppliers.
many thanks
Steve

The new ID buzz has now made its mark on a very sceptical Me, but it’s a Joy to drive and what a performance 7 sec to 60 mph .
we are probably the first UK firm to convert the suspension to Coil overs , and the results are impressive , H and R engineers doing what they do best . 2023 is the year that we start to extend our wholesale division and seek new trade clients to enjoy the success we have had over the last. 3 years
we have a whole new range of Suspension kits designed with campers in mind

these include
1. Special spring kits that correct camper sag and work with standard shocks or uprated ones
2. Rear height adjustable spring kits to level up any camper or van precisely , used with standard and uprated shocks
3. Coil over kits with uprated springs for heavier vans. Campers. Caravelle and California s
4. Sport short Koni shocks. For the lower look

subtle changes to the range but vitally important for longevity and reliability .
we would welcome trade inquiries and allow us explain these kits in detail.

I had my Koni's Shocks + 50mm H&R Sport Springs + 20mm / 25mm H&R Hubcentric Spacers fitted today. All kit supplied by Steve @CRS Performance. The install was undertaken by a local garage who found the install relatively easy.

I'm incredibly pleased with the outcome :mexican wave:. I now have a firm, car like pliant ride. No longer do I dread tight corners, roundabouts etc. I'm glad I opted for Sports Shocks, and not springs alone (based on various sourced of feedback in here). The van is particularly composed at higher speeds and I can actually enjoy the twisties. Diving under breaking has also banished. I also notice a significant decrease in road noise. I was originally going to go with a 40mm drop as I'm more interested in handling rather than stance. I own a T32 so Steve @ CRS advised that 50mm would be prime given the higher load capacity / heavier van. He was spot on ...

The spacers have allowed an OEM look with the Devonports but equally filled out the arches and given her a beefier' stance. Some before and after pics....

Contemplating 19's or 20's down then line but slightly weary that they may comprise the current, excellent ride quality. Shall run with the spacers for a solid test period first.

Thanks to the many T6 forum contributors for their sharing and inspiration :)

Cal.
This looks great, how are you finding it a few years down the line. I really like OEM+ look

Hi David - many thanks. She still looks exactly the same. I love the sleeper looks & have so far resisted the need to slap on 20’s. The handling is still very impressive & I have had zero issues with the shocks or H&R spacers. All flying through MOT’s also. Best bang for buck for sure
