I instigated fanboi (although it seems I spelt it wrong) here, and I still stand by what I typed.

I've had nothing but VW's since 1999 so I'd call my self one, just like a black fella would call himself a (you choose the word) I may have slipped with my current BMW, but we still have 5 other VWs an Audi and a Seat on the drive.

I don’t think any criticism can be levelled at BMVS or any others for doing what their business relies on. Regardless of what their personal opinion surrounding it may be - they have to move with the times & they have to sell these new vans. They won’t achieve that by having an openly negative attitude towards it. They can only make it as marketable as they have the power to, after that it’s up to the public to make their own choice. This is their paid for Trade Page on the forum after all 😂

Agree. Certainly none of the above (from me) is aimed at @BognorMotors.

This is @BognorMotors trade thread and theres pages of posts going up, this really should be for stuff related to @BognorMotors, off topic posts will probably be cleaned at some point so please post in the appropriate areas #vivalatransit ;)

It's not the content, it's where the content has been posted.
Traders pay good money for forum membership and we've inadvertently hijacked Ollie's trade page.

We are cool with all the comments. Freedom of speech as alway. I will just say anyone how hasn’t driven one please come and have a go for yourself, I think you’ll be presently surprised with the new Ford Transporter then you can make a balanced judgment on the vehicle. We have lots planned for this platform, so watch this space.

I’m probably the same as a lot of people in that I don’t have that much brand loyalty- I buy the van that best suits my needs, I use my van for work and pleasure so wanted something that looks good, not too big and nice to drive. When I bought my 6.1 the transits were too high to go in a lot of car parks so it was down to a Vito or a 6.1 and the vw was just so much nicer. If I bought now I would look at both the Ford and vw versions and make my mind up. (Hopefully my 6.1 has a good few more years in it as yet!)

@BognorMotors I've repaired a couple of the new transits and got to say its quite a nice environment to be in and to drive, but i noticed there are no rear wheel arch covers, but am I right in thinking there is on the transporter? The reason I ask is that I noticed on the ford's they have used some sort of sponge sealer that's gonna hold water, so a potential rust area, but if shielded should be ok. Also noticed on the white van there was not much paint so started to rust on the joints where the body rail is, but was ok with the metallic blue one.

Been a bit quiet on updates here as we’ve been so busy.

Our first Transporter T7 sold within 36 hours of going live and the new owner added some choice modification to what’s we’d already done

Our new ‘fully optioned’ T7 170PS Auto has now turned up, for more of the same, and some different mods too. This is also going to be having a fully crash tested kombi seat conversion going in it, on sliding rails and most importantly NO bulkhead, which will be the feature of the new Kombi which we are not a fan of! Watch this space as they will be fully reclining with armrests too

Must admit it looks better with the black “grille”. Can the whole bumper be replaced? That’s the bit i really dont like and wonder if LV or someone will completely redesign it at some point?

We know of 3/4 bumpers being designed. The designs are awesome. Really change the look.

I'm not sure about the amount of black on the front. It reminds me of the SEAT Ibiza Bocanegra.

I'd like to see a photoshop with the section above the badge bisecting line in body colour.

A front bumper redesign that allowed for a far better approach angle for off road use would generate interest from me I would be interested in that but not something purely aesthetic looks. A grill that allowed easier access removal and reattachment that had no badge or impediment for mounting long LED Lamps like the larger LAZAR Lamps.

Having seen lots of them out and about, I think I'd prefer a Transit front end grafted on.

The front door ends that are coming will really change the van.

Out big build is underway at the minute so lots of internal and external modification planned. Everyone is welcome to come and take a look and have a drive.
