Thanks guys. You’ve got to drive one to realise how good they are. The engine issues with the wet belt have been resolved, plus we have the PHEV coming which is an awesome engine.
 
Engine doesn't bother me. The poorer standard of fit and finish, thinner paint, lighter gauge panels (my SiL has one), etc, would nark me a bit but that's the way the world has gone and moaning won't undo it.

Hell, most of the people moaning have never bought a brand new 6 or 6.1 in the first place. If anything were to happen to my 6.1 I'd have no issue with a 7th Gen Tranporter to replace it, although an actual T7 Cali would be my preference now theyre available.

I drove one and hated it. Way noiser than my current T6 (maybe the OEM tyres and less sound deadening?) and the interior felt less substantial and just hated how most everything, especially climate, has to be controlled via the touch screen. If I had to buy one it would be the Ford version anyway as I prefer their front end.

That’s interesting ref the noise levels as we’ve said the complete opposite and I’ve been running our carpeted/insulated demo T7 Kombi and it’s definitely quieter than our fully deadened t6.1 Kombi.
Ours is available for test drive/demo for anyone that wants to try it.

They are definitely nice when they had modifications done to them/ but overall they drive so much better than the t6.1 IMHO.

Hi Oli,
I’m back with the team on the 24th of Jan for an MOT and would welcome the opportunity to try the Kombi.
I’ve had the chance to try the ford variant through our vehicle lease company at work but they don’t stock the VW.
Wasn’t overly impressed but the blue one you guys have does look impressive 😎
