Spacers question 275/40/20

Hi everyone, I noticed today that my front wheels come out further in the arch than my rear wheels do. I'm on 275/40/20 but moving to 245/45/20 which will give me 20mm further poke out than currently but I'm guessing that obv the rears will still look further in than the fronts. Is this where spacers come in and how do I know what size to fit ?? All help appreciated as every days a schoolday for me with my van :)

moving from 275 to 245 will give 15mm 'less' poke than current, approx.
First question everyone will want to know is the offset of your wheels, and if they are the same front to back or staggered.

If you do go the spacer route, hub centric are best.

Thank you - I can’t see anything re offset on the inside of the wheels - have I missed anything? Or do I need to get tape measure out tomorrow

Somewhere it will be written ETXX, with XX being the offset in mm.

Those wheels look like Zito 935s, same as mine and bizzarly they don't have an ET stamped on them....I've looked on mine many times. Your wheels, like mine, are 8.5j wide, I've just moved from 275 40 to 245 45 also. Assuming that the front and rear wheels are the same, it is fine just to swap the tyres, no spacer needed. The 245 45s work and look better than 275 40s on an 8.5j 20 inch wheel. I believe they are ET35, but without it being stamped on I can't be sure.

Cheers for this - thought I couldn’t see anything on the pics.

For reference front and rear, Zito 935 8.5jx20 with 245/45/20 tyres. Van lowered 40mm.

That’s unusual in my experience, but there is an easy way to measure if you really wanted to know.
However, just sounds like you need to get your new tyres on then see if you want the backs pushing out a bit.
The arches on the back nearly always sit a bit further out from the hub, relative to the front.
