Portable Power Packs - LifePo4 Battery Boxes -- How I done It --

I’m looking to get my first power station. Am I best waiting for Black Friday, does these companies offer good deals around that time

Also, it is possible to recharge my leisure battery with the power station or possibly even use the power station to power the van?

I’m not experienced with electrical setups so go easy.

start with what you want to do with the box, . . .

that will give you an idea of the size of power pack you need.

Primary purpose is charging the van when off grid to extend days.

Secondary purpose is a whole host of practical solutions for camping and domestic uses but all secondary to the first goal.

I had considered just doing a fancier van set up but then I don’t have a useful power station to use around the house and camping with the kids

Yes. We have a current Lesiure system.

What makes the Delta 2 your favourite?
 
A good balance of capacity, features and inverter power.... It's perfect for camping, but we always run it flat, so need a buffer battery and solar to last a long weekend.

you can any panel, provided its within the Solar PV input range of the Delta2 ( upto VOC max )

so it looks like the EF Delta2 has a FW tweek to limit the incoming charge current?

or maybe it was always like it?

either way. . . the voltage boost seems to be a viable way to increase the charge rate to a Delt2 and other PPP boxes.

but you need the right DC IN cable, for the EF Delta2 anyway.

looks like you will need a 30A @ 12v (410w) feed from the starter battery. to the Victron Orion Booster,

that will then give you 15A @ 30v (410w) on its output side to charge the Delta2.
 
An XT60i connector is known connector though, normally the extra pin is used either for a temperature sensor or 1 wire serial so a charger can talk to a BMS.


Not sure what Ecoflow is doing with it here, if someone has the official lead it might just be connected to ground or have a known resistance in it. If so making up an adaptor wouldn't be too hard.

I'm fairly sure I have that lead with the xt60i.... I think it comes with the delta2 with the mc4 connectors on.

But with all the xt60 stuff I have it all get mixed up.

I'll have to have a look.

It would be an easy task to make up link lead to connect.... In my case Anderson to mc4.

Or like the guy in the video just cut the mc4 ends off and hard wire the Victron booster with ring terminals.

I'm seriously thinking about getting this setup for the EF delta2 and other packs I have.

Not cheap though..... The Vic Orion voltage booster.

Interesting to see the cost of the cooler. Never sure why they have an ice facility, seems to add more cost.
