OEM Webasto Auxiliary Heater To Parking Heater Upgrade

Even though I won't be using the overhead controller I couldn't handle this DTC anymore and I had to buy itCan confirm the cause. Disconnected my overhead timer panel - and as expected the same fault as above.
Did some coding experiments, however I didn't remove the "6E" from CANbus installation list.
Run basically through all the version codings + a few "unknowns" by changing the coding and then clearing the fault.
5800 = my current working coding, v15808 (byte 1, bit 3)D800 (byte 0, bit 7)5810 v25820 v35830 v45840 v55850 v65880 v1 + (byte 1, bit 7)5890 v258A0 v358B0 v458C0 v558D0 v6No luck with any of the above...- your turn now

wow.. i wish i would have been able to do that... at least we have figured out the F version does not work in out T6.
I guess i will need to search the G version, i really dont like to have that DTC like @Robert
I dont want to do an off-toppic but for the moment, i have been able to start the webasto with the remote and heat the water of my tank. Here you have a couple of pictures. i will do some kind of guide when i had done all the tests and so on
Heat exchanger, Pipes from-to webasto and water pipes from-to tank
Thermostat with temperature sensor inside the water tank which controls the 12v water pump which recirculate the water through the heat exchanger. It turns off the pump when the water reaches the desired temperature.

Thanks all who contribute in this topic especialy @Robert @mmi and @avkcon . Every problem already answered in this topic but here what i learned.
1st i flashed the aux heater with 272B firmware and tried the wbus remote & controller kit but wbus was unable to communicate with vw firmware anymore so i start searching for vw components. That took weeks to complete all becouse t6 never imported with that options to Turkey.

If you want to activate remote menu on roof module here is the setting at coding screen
And if anybody interested to change speed to activate hold procedure you need to change this adaptation value

Today i tried 000103 coding
With this day info lost on the roof panel
With coding 000203
And with 000202 \ 000102remote menu disappers
Error was still there at all combinations but after a bit search it is an issue about cabling or grounding becouse everything working in car
I will chech cabling again when i can arrange some time

To complete your now almost Nordic setup - an OEM control panel/timer working in parallel with remote.
Added functionality:

- timer (3 programmable times - time + week day -> max week ahead), however they are just one shot - can only activate the next event (can't activate repeats e.g. automatically every Mo-Fr at 6:15, need always to "authorize" the next one).
- set mode: heat or ventilation only
- set heat/vent time on remote (as in pic 30 mins)
- child lock

I have the same webasto model on my 2018 T6 4motion (same sticker)
I have the EOM control panel and EOM remote.
I do not have the climatronic but manual one.
Is it still possible to convert it into parking heater?

To me this sounds it is the parking heater - because there is overhead controller (and a remote).
Does it now heat the cabin - started either from control panel or from remote?

It does, but the max running time configurable is 120 minutes and it is not possibile to set the temperature.
My goal is convert it to this, available in the California models. So that I can configure continuous heating and set the temperature level. Do you think is possible?

Yes, 120 minutes indeed is the maximum. A reason for the limitation might be relatively high "battery" consumption. The factory setup draws approx. 12 Amps at full power - heater itself, coolant pumps and the blower. Thus running the heater overnight most likely flattens the battery (12A x 8h = 96 Ah, which is full battery capacity).
Actually the temperature can be controlled - the temperature is set by the normal Climatic heater/air conditioner dial. Also air flow direction is controlled by normal dials. Only the blower speed can't be adjusted - it runs always at speed 2. When the set temperature is reached the Webasto ramps the burner power down and can be turn it completely off from time to time.
I think the overhead control panel in California runs the auxiliary air heater only - thus most likely those functions are not available for water heater. Also the overhead control panel is wired differently.
