Question:

Does anyone have powerlift tailgate with bike rack?

Is there a weight restriction for the rams?.

@Robert
I don't have a bike rack and I am not familiar with any weight restrictions.

If you know your load (kg) I am happy to test it for you with default settings.

There are number of adjustable parameters in tailgate control module so possibly extra load could be taken in the account. I have to double check it for you.

I'm powered but no bike rack !
I've got rear spoiler too so can not have bike rack !
As far as weight goes as I dynamited and insulated the tail gate adding weight it no longer opens from the fob ! Just clicks unlocked !
Whan van was new opened on fob press no problem but the weight added has stopped this

Might be worth a post on the Ross-Tech forum. Maybe there is an adaptation setting to change the threshold that the rams decide to close.

There are 2 bike rack offerings. 1 for electric tail and the other for manual.

Near disaster was on the horizon..
Split rim bolts had worked loose..

Managed to get alittle assistance from the awesome workshop manager at Listers Droitwich, to pinpoint the noise location.

Quick google search and 28Nm later rims are re torque.

They come off next week for some winter approved.. @MAT@VWT5UPGRADES ;)

Are you sure its not the centre caps rattling

I'm not sure which one of our vans was the dirtiest when we did a fly past this morning.

From my looking I think the T6.1 it really isn't worth the additional monies to change.

The only things that have taken my fancy -
1. Electro steering rack and the 3 accompanying aids, park assist etc.
2. The (optional) elctric sliding door and soft close.
3. MiFi option.

Other than this, looking at and through the dash, this will fit as a retro but is not available as yet.

The dash comes as only one option.. no 'comfort' option as yet, having a close look at said dash i feel that is has taken a backward step, smaller glovebox, smaller open box, pointless trays, see pixs.
Addition of two usb could be handy is you change multiple things.

This is a Highline variant..with taco option..

I'm quite pleased the 6.1 is only a minor upgrade, it's gonna save me a shed load of cash and I'm not sure I can be bothered to go through the whole custom van process again anyway.
