Well I’ve used the truck ones in the uk no problem-flow is similar to the front of forecourt ones. That is very handy! I have avoided them because I assumed that they would pump like a fire hose overfill so fast then get covered in horse piss.I would use truck fuel stations but 1, I worry that the restricted small filler on these would not accept the large bore fuel guns that lorries, use and 2, also end up covered in diesel because I imagine our vehicles would not like the huge floe rate.
It would be handy to be able to use truck stops, has anyone tried filling diesel at truck stops am I correct in my assumptions?![]()
In France I tried the truck stop one and as soon as I squeezed the trigger it clicked off, so thinking it was the wrong angle or whatever I gave it another go, same again immediately clicked off.
Looked at display and it was still something silly like 400 litres from the previous truck.
So assuming it had a fault I got in to drive off and the Ad Blue was full. So it must have put about 6 litres in in about a second.
Went to try to pay and the lady was adamant that I’d had no ad blue and told me off for filling up at a ruck stop.
Oh well, not often you get gifted free ad blue lol.
