Odd question but, if I leave the webasto heater running all night, does that affect the average mpg on the MFD?
Presumably the fuel used by the heater would be considered fuel used by the engine, as far as the MFD is concerned. Assuming it calculates mpg on fuel used/remaining in the tank that...
I'm thinking of raising the van a little and fitting a more aggressive tyre, I'm sick of getting beached and stuck in muddy fields.
Has anyone fitted anything like a BF Goodrich All Terrain or General Grabber AT2?
What has it done to your fuel economy, ride comfort/noise etc?
80% of the time...
So, lots of folk aren't happy about their mpg in the larger output engines, but what about the the 102 and 84ps? There're keeping quiet don't you think? Are they similarly annoyed, or do they hide a secret? Are they getting amazing mpg, and does anyone remember the Bluemotion 114ps T5.1 that was...
Well after an epic trip I finally managed to get over 600 miles to a tank. It took 64 litres to fill it back up.
Was well and truly ready for my bed once I got home.
Saw this on the way home.
As there seems to be alot of posts about poor MPG I thought Id give a little update.
When I forst got the van I was averaging 35 mpg on my daily commute which is a 60 mile of which around 40 miles on motorway. I felt like I was visiting the petrol station far to often.
After 3500 miles it...
I thought I'd start a post about how much the MPG seems to vary...
I've had my van, a 150 dsg kombi highline, for 2 months now and have covered 3250 miles in it. My trip to work is roughly a 75 mile round trip and consists motorway (75%), single/dual carriageway (20%) and town (5%) by distance...
Hi there - some advice please - I have the baby engined T6 bluemotion - and I've just fitted a gorgeous set of carbon dipped Range Rover 20's to it with 275/40/20 tyres - first run into work today and my mpg at 70 has dived from near 50 to low 30's - now obviously the only change is the rims etc...
I know theirs a few on here who have mentioned that the MPG display is over reading the true figures, not exactly important in any way but....!
The numbers can be calibrated if you've vcds- instruments / adaptations / 499-display mpg, distance left .
The standard number is 100% , change to...
I've just done my first long run over the past two days, and I'm very happy with the economy of this van.
I was a bit disappointed when I found out it was going to be a Euro 5 spec rather than Euro 6.
I was expecting to get 41mpg rather than 47+mpg as stated for Euro 6 motors.
I know the van...
I'm looking at getting the 204ps 4motion DSG kombi in the next couple of weeks (offer from JCB, cost to them +£1).
I wanted the DSG and 4motion, which leads to the only engine choice being the 204ps.
Anyone had the 204ps for a while, ideally the 4motion dsg but asking a lot for real average...
Following on from my earlier thread on my new van spec I thought I'd ask on a separate thread about fuel economy.
Can any drivers of the 204 or 150 engines comment on what sort of mpg they are getting and possibly tyre wear (if you've done a decent amount of miles)?
I'm ordering a panel van...
Has anyone formed an opinion about the fuel economy read out? I've just checked mine for the first time. MFD said I'd averaged 41.9 mpg. When I checked this against the trip, versus fuel used.......or to put it another way, the miles on the trip versus the number of litres it took to fill it...
140 SWB Kombi Manual
Average mpg 36.6, covered 3000 miles. Managed a 40mpg last weekend, Holyhead to Manchester and back, 70mph on dual carriageway and motorways. I travel 35 miles each way to work everyday on a quiet dual carriageway not booting it. From other posts an average of 36.6 seems a...
