Okay ladies and gents..........error codes.......the gift that keeps on giving!! So now, hot on the heels of my ABS error code, I now have code 25126-Invalid Data Received from Vehicle Dynamics Control Module. Anyone got any ideas? Helluva coincidence that it comes just days after my ABS wheel...
Gents.......and ladies.
Just wondered if anyone has any strong views on engine flushes? I change my oil annually.......approx 8000 miles. It's a bit late now after 7 years of ownership but I've been thinking of increasing the frequency and making it every 6000 miles between oil changes. I don't...
So, after having my coil light illumination diagnosed as a fault with a flap in the manifold 5 weeks ago........
Right, stay with me here gents! Today, I took the van back for them to deal with the claim and do the MOT. Imagine my surprise when I get a call to ask if I've erased any fault...
Evening ladies and gents
well, it had to happen sooner or later! I was driving up a steep hill this morning when I sensed something wasn't right. I looked down and saw the amber heater plug symbol light up. I stopped and switched off the ignition and then re started and it's been fine the rest...
Gents........my son just bought me a milwaukee 3/8ths impact wrench so I'm looking for some sockets. What size are the wheel bolts ......I'll probably have to buy a 3/8th's to 1/2" adapter as I don't think 3/8th's go beyond about 22mm?
Cheers guys!
Evening gents........what do we think of sockets with usb charging points built into them? I'm decorating at home and want to fit some chrome switches and sockets but wondered if they're any good?
Cheers!
Right gents and ladies....just want everyone's take on this. I run a small gardening/handyman business and for now, I've suspended my business activities. I don't need to come into contact with my customers as most of my work is outside. I'm getting really mixed messages! North of the border...
Well, it had to happen sooner or later! I decided to take a different route home tonight....and this happens! No one died so it's no more than an inconvenience. This might be a really silly question....and I think I know the answer, but does anyone out there think this tyre might be repairable...
Right ladies and gents......I've been hoodwinked into ditching android in favour of apple. Is it easy to move contacts etc across from one to the other? I've been told the new phone (iPhone 6) will come with a new sim card so no I'm gonna lose what's already on my old sim card. Vodafone want £25...
Well, I took my van in for a brake fluid change and mentioned I had a very occasional knocking sound from the front drivers side. It actually started when the van was about a year old but it was so occasional I never mentioned it. Well, it turns out my front shocks are on their way out! The 3...
I've been encouraged to have an air con service carried out when I get my brake fluid changed. My van is just over 3 years old with 24000 miles on the clock. The brake fluid change.....I get that....given the cost of ABS pumps etc, I'd consider it essential and very reasonable at £69. The aircon...
I've had a really slow puncture on my summer wheels since last year. Took it to Danny at Ian Browns in Malton who did a vulcanising repair....top effort and no damage to my rim. Top blokes if you need a repair in N Yorks!
Has anyone got any recommendations for oil extraction pumps? Now, I'm a firm believer in dropping the sump plug to do an oil change but I always seem to spill at least some oil so I'm thinking of getting an extraction pump to pump most out before removing the sump plug.....and I think it would...
...can happen several minutes AFTER I've put the windows back up. Both sides are affected.....passenger worse than drivers side though. I have the sh*t VW stick on wind deflectors so it's not that.....I had a speaker upgrade by Peter at Skipton Car Audio but I think it did it before then? They...
Right gents.....on the back of a recent thread re: wheels seizing on the hubs, of which I've had personal experience.....it turns out that not all lubes are the same! I never cease to be enlightened/amazed/terrified by the knowledgeable people on this forum and long may that continue.....it...
Hi guys
went away to Australia to see my kids for 3 weeks so I switched off the fridge freezer before we went. Came back and the fridge isn't working at all but most bizarrely, only one half of the freezer elements in the top of the freezer compartment are freezing! I've replaced thermostats in...
Well, I suppose it had to happen sooner or later! Mine has just developed a clunking noise! I think it's coming from the front suspension but can't be sure yet? It seems to only happen on bumps in the road....no surprise there really. I actually felt it through my feet on a left hand bend...
...the incoming supply at the mains stop tap.....although that would have affected ALL the taps......or should I just not open the tap fully if I'm that bothered? For now, the isolation valve under my tap is closed down by about half. I just like to know this kind of sh*t.
Cheers fellas!
Right gents....I've "adopted" a grease gun......lucky me I hear you say!! I'm not sure if it's working too well though? It seems to pump more grease out between the coupling and the grease nipple even though I push it against the nipple whilst I'm pumping.....if you get my drift (that sentence...
