Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Used to go to Osmington Mills as a kid, when it was just a couple of fields and a pub at the end of the lane. That was 40+ years ago, think may just have changed a bit! Always loved it down there, may try to get down there again this summer

doesn't sound like it had changed much!
just the shower block!

Twigged that was Charmouth as I skipped back and forth through the video... sorry... but recognised it as the first place we stayed at when we got our camper last year, will go again at some point as it's a lovely site and ideal for all points from Lyme to Weymouth.

Back towards Burton Bradstock I always like taking the Seatown turning at Chideock, parking in the field opposite the pub and walking up Golden Cap, packs out a lot more than Ringstead Bay but has a pub to home in on after a proper bit of mountaineering.
Missing Dorset a bit after living in Sherborne for 15 yrs and returning back to my roots here in Mordor!
If you go back up the road a little bit, there's a footpath off to the left with a really nice circular walk through fields and woods and up the other side of Golden Cap. You've earnt more beer with a longer walk by the time you get back to the Anchor - maybe add a seafood platter for luck!

Not recently, but my last trip away was back up to the highlands in Feb to enjoy the snow.
Had a great time but got to say, after initially raving about their performance on mud last year, the Michelin Cross Countrys were abysmal on snow and recently on wet grass. A bit disappointed really, they had been ok on mud, ice and frosty roads. Only done 4000 miles on them too so a long time left on them yet. Anyway here’s a pic, seems like a lifetime
ago now :(

This post seems a bit mundane after the last one from Oz but yesterday we had to go over to Cirencester (which wasn't that unusual) but, knowing that the return journey home would coincide with lunchtime, we put the brew kit in the van and stopped for a snack at Jollys Farm Shop & Takeaway on the A419 between Cirencester and Stroud. The sun was shining and we both had a lovely smoked salmon pâte sarnie and cake with a cuppa brewed in the van overlooking a not very busy paddock. Been past the place loads of times but never stopped and are both now very glad that we did. It was also just good to get out in the van for a change.Jolly's.jpg

When we have been to the UK and toured around we love it because it is different from what we normally see and do
