Where do you have your switches and sockets?

We have a SWB T6, with a double passenger seat, which we hope to put on a kiravan swivel base in the future. We are also going for a U shaped bed with cabinet from Van Furniture.

Please excuse the non-technical terminology, but we are trying to work out where we should put the main panel for switches and sockets. Can you fit something to the B pillar, or will that interfere with the swivel? Above the sliding door? Where have you all put yours?

The popular positions are on the seat base backs (as they are usually very local to the batteries under the seats) or on the wardrobe wall by the counter top in the classic side conversion (again where the batteries and EHU tend to then be in the rear quarter)

So the answer I suspect broadly depends on where you plan on putting your EHU and leisure battery because having at least the high current sockets on 240v and 12v physically near makes cabling simpler, cheaper and less likely to be damaged.

I don't think we're going for EHU - we're going to use solar. The batteries will likely be under the drivers seat or in the front somewhere. I'm guessing it won't be appropriate to attach it to the seat base of the double swivel, so what would you use for the driver side? I'm guessing it would interfere with storing tall objects (like table tops) down the side of the cabinet behind the drivers seat. This is what we're going for: Laminated U Shape Bed System + Cabinet + Cushions - Bundle — Van Furniture.

I'd agree with @T6ChrisO here, the end of that unit is likely to be the best place at least for panels.

You might want to run some lines to a USB charger on the front panels of the seats, a bit like coffee shops, if you are in the habit of sitting with a phone or tablet and wanting to charge them.

I've always fancied putting low level lights around the U seats with LED strip in that kind of layout.

(I see you went for the Clayton remote Chris!)
