T6 Bulbs & Lamps

Most cars these days are way too complicated to change the bulbs without a load of tools and knowledge, but as said above a lot of cars are 100% LED now, so a bulb pack is pointless, a bit like the compulsory breathalysers for tee-totals in France, although they dropped this law in the end. And if you used your breathalyser, then you couldn't drive anyway, as you didn't have a working breathalyser any more!

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows the complete list for spare bulbs? I am due to travel to Spain soon and wanted to carry a spare of each incase. Mine is a 66 plate T6.

Many thanks,

Chris

Depends on the sort of lights you have. If you don’t know, post up some pics of them to help people advise you

I understand that Phillips will soon be releasing an H4 LED direct swop headlight bulb, that might do the trick, anyone got any recommendation in the meantime for H4 upgrades?
Hi I have a new panel van t6.1 and I must say the lights as horrible with every else at the moment not sure I can go for headlight swop just yet
Can you change the bulbs at least to improve view and light at the front with no problem or errors cheers

I fitted Osram Nightbreakers to my T6, and they were fine ( and I drive alot at night ). All that said, I specced Led's on my T6.1 and they are excellent.

I have the Philips GT200 as an upgrade H4 bulb and it’s good enough for me. I sold a Citroen Xantia back in the day just because the headlights were so bad - that’s how fussy I am.

You can buy Philips LED upgrades now but despite them lobbying for years they still aren’t classed as road legal even though, as long as adjusted properly after fitting, they don’t dazzle other road users (unlike the cheap alternatives).

Good afternoon. I've replaced the H11 bulbs in my T6's fog lights with LEDs. They work correctly when I turn them on manually, but they don't activate as turn signals, and the error light on the dashboard has also come on, probably because they're not compatible with the CAN BUS system.
Does anyone know if it's possible to reprogram the consumption of these bulbs with VCDS to avoid the error?

Good Morning ,

I went to order set of LED Interior bulbs & Number plate bulbs from Transporter HQ ..This was my first order of what was going to be many Then I noticed due to my Postcode Aberdeenshire .It was going to cost over £18.00 for postage ..I quickly contacted HQ and cancelled this order ..Is there other members from my location with similar experiences with postage prices ..

Why not try looking up specific wants on amazon or similar you may find things even cheaper possibly. I think that we all live under the same UK Government postal charges should be evened out or can you post to London etc for the same cost or does that have a cost implication also going the other way.

Hi .
I've just installed Philips Ultinon Pro5100 LED's in my T6.1, dipped headlight. There was no adapter required, just a direct replacement for the normal halogen bulbs.
The immediate difference on my garage, is that they are clearer, whiter and brighter. Now to find some for the H15 main beams.
They are also ECE compliant for road use.

Not according to Philips own website.

Parameters and Philips suffer a lot with fakes on the likes of Amazon. If the packaging says ECE compliant I’d be wary. No LED aftermarket bulb is road legal in the UK.
If they are genuine you’ll probably be alright as Philips are the best quality and won’t have the usual glare and heat issues associated with the cheap brands.

Thank you for letting me know. They are genuine, as checked using the Philips website, and their authentication checker. I'll amend my comment.

No problem.
Glad they’re genuine - that way you won’t have the risk of being disappointed.
Can’t see why the government don’t pull their finger out and allow some of these decent LED bulbs. If they are done right they would be safer than halogens in theory.
