Hoping you gents & ladies can help push me in the right direction.
Problem: Front interior lights and footstep lights don’t come on when the door is opened but rears do (switch in correct setting) and also don’t come on when you turn the master switch on (rear only come on).
The front lights come on (most of the time) when the van is running and you push the map light buttons but sometimes they flicker and sometimes they also light up the rear cabin lights dimly.
Vehicle: T6 Caravelle 2017MY 150 TDI
Bulbs: All of the rear cabin bulbs and front map lights were swapped to LED bulbs by previous owner (excluding boot and footwell)
I took my front light cover off to inspect, I noticed there is no holder in the middle for a festoon bulb (weird) and also it has Osram LED W5W bulbs for map lamps. I tried swapping to halogen bulbs but then nothing worked. Swapped back and back to working but with weird behaviour.
Picture of missing festoon holder missing, is this normal/an option? Any ideas before I go about swapping everything back to traditional halogen bulbs to try and fault find.
