Brake disc and pad upgrade options

I’d have no hesitation using Brembo discs from somewhere like EuroCarParts who always seem to have discount codes. Just checked out the website and two 308mm vented discs with discount applied £120. I’d get the matching brembo pads. Pagid also a known brand (make a lot of racing brake pads)

Be aware the prices change often so if in no rush monitor the price fluctuations

Time to change my front discs and pads, now at just over 50k on the original set.

Those who have chosen the Brembo pads how do you rate the dust levels, noise and the wear rate? Also, can anyone confirm if the Brembo discs are painted?

Currently £189 for the lot delivered - is that a decent price? BTW; mine are the larger 340mm discs.

TIA Paul

So it's time to have the disc & pads changed on my t30 150 2016

Any idea finding what size I need to buy
Any deals about discount codes

Thanks all

Thanks for that but how do I know which size to buy with out taking wheels of the measure..

@Baz..SVT

rears are standard size on all vans.

front are either large or small.

large normally for the 199 / 204 PSI engines & possibly T32 for payload.

take a pic of your front wheel calliper and well see.

Yeah I don't have big breaks so I guess it's the small out the 2 options..+ she's only a startline

Hi
VW T6 204bhp

I’m just about to swap out all my discs and pads.
What do you guys recommend?
Genuine or some aftermarket quality?
Minted, Brembos?
Options please?
Cheers

so next month is service time, the discs are ready for renewing. our van is the paupers T6 startline 102 camper conversion( although I have spent that much on upgrades so far I may as well have bought a Highline ;) ) , currently it has the standard factory braking set up. Is it worth maybe upgrading to Brembo or should I just stick with OEM discs and pads ?? cheers

Does your van feel Underbraked?

it’s always a good time to upgrade when parts are work out as the financial hit doesn’t feel so bad.

We can do you a good piece on a set of Revo/Alcons ;-)

I wouldn't say that it feels under braked as @ 102bhp it's not exactly a powerhouse :( a Revo upgrade sounds expensive

180ps with 340mm OEM front brakes is more than enough. I’ve only had to use the full brake force a couple of times but I’d say they saved my arse from Spanish lane swerving trucks.
I’ve always used replacement Brembo on other vehicles, they are good value for money. I check disc run out with a DTI and they are always perfect.

Can anyone recommend a front pad that doesn't create as much dust as OEM?

I think you’ve answered your own question there. :slow rofl:
Unless you’ve recently fitted a supercharger I would stick with the standard setup.

Yeah the Brembo Neo Ceramics, i fitted those all round and new rotors, then lockdown was implemented just after id finished fitting them, its sitting in the workshop for the last week with no dust
