reclassification

Hi just joined the T6 forum , I get my new converted camper van tomorrow. Is there a problem registering from a panel van to a campervan, as the gents converting the van says DVLA are not changing the v5c.

I had trouble getting insurance as it was classed as a 9 seater minibus. I took pictures of the van as a 5 seater. I got a video walk around and pictures of the front single seats and the middle 3rd row. I had a rug in the back and no seats. Would DVLA accept that or do I need to have the van...

My T6 conversion will NOT have an awning. It will have an Austop pop-top, side windows (but not in tailgate), Cycle rack, colour coded side stripe and pop-top, RIB bed, gas stove, sink etc.. Does the pop-top and / or the absence of an awning mean it can only be registered as a 'van-with-windows'...

Just bought a 2018 T6 with the intention to convert it to a camper/carp fishing van. When requesting my resident parking permit I was shocked to find out that I'm not allowed to park my VAN in the area. I have no possible area where I can park it because in Windsor due to being a touristic town...

Hi, a little help required re the V5. I have recently received my V5 from the DVLA for my T6 which was converted to a campervan by a local company. He sent the docs off with photos etc as per changes to the use etc of the vehicle and the returned V5 in my name just states the Van as a VAN/SIDE...

I have added some rear seat/ bed. Is it possible to update this online on the DVLA website or does it have to be done by post? If by post I can see on the DVLA website there are 2 postcodes. Which one do I send it to? Thanks Change vehicle details on a V5C registration certificate (log book)

Ordered a new Kombi through a conversion company. Is it standard practice for it be 'first' registered as a van (£55) on arrival then reregistered as a campervan on completion of the conversion? If first registered as a campervan from day one it costs about £1000 I think.

I sent off to have my Kombi reclassified as a camper today. Started off with the info and sample letter here: Converting a vehicle into a motorhome - GOV.UK and then added in some photos and receipts for the bits / work done. Hopefully it will be back soon and I can drive at car speeds again.
