What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Good coverage of the roof doubt that yo will find much better than that! Are they glue on panels. Though I think that I might prefer rigid panels for a number of reasons. Great amount of power available. :)

Yeah they’re stuck on, they came with the adhesive pads already installed. These are CIGS panels with a 10 year warranty, they have a different makeup to the normal flexible panels that fail quickly. We should be able to go “off grid” for a good while with these

All in the past few days. Washed it, re sealed the pop top canvas (had water ingress during very heavy rain in Scafell last month, could've been through a vent but I don't know), replaced a tyre, continued to grieve over a badly scuffed wheel (and looking at the cost of a new set of wheels), loaded the van up (I have put things in different places for better use of space which seems to work) all ready for a trip to Spain when we leave home tomorrow.

Done the accelerator pedal mod. Not easy for a chap of my ample dimensions to squeeze under the dash but I did it.

The difference is night and day. Well worth doing if you have a manual 6.1.

I've got a manual 6.1, Whats the accelerator mod?
At the lower regions of accelerator travel, there's a point where the pedal resistance increases. You can push through this point, but if you don't, you don't fully available acceleration. The mod removes this step-change in resistance.

Yeah I feel that, if you push hard ot kind of clicked and goes further. Is this mod on the how to?

Think there's a 'how to' thread on here somewhere.

EDIT: here...

Thanks bud, job for next weekend along with my fog light kit

Well worth doing. It took me about 40 minutes, but will be quicker for you if you dont have to squeeze 6'5" and 20 stone of yourself undernthe dash.
Ha ha I should be a bit more nimble than you by the sounds of it.
Easy enough to do? Other than the tight squeeze for yourself?

Very easy!

Remove the undersash trim. The bit covering the column is attached to it. You'll need a trim tool or a big flat screwdriver and some care.

Unplug the connector atop the pedal.

Pop the linkage off.

Undo the 3 nuts with a 10mm socket.

Withdraw then unit, and modify within as per the link above.

And refittingmis the reverse of removal. Not at all difficult, just a bit fiddly and access restricted.
