What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

hello,
can you share how to get these off? i'd like to change ours but am not sure how to remove..!

First you need to remove the mirror glass. I angled the mirror glass all the way down and square to the top of the casing. Then levered it free with a large flat piece of nylon. Carefully remove the two wires from the heating elements and they're off!

Then release the three clips that sit directly behind where the mirror glass sat, toward the top of the mirror casing. I held these off their latches with plastic trim wedges (while I released the rest of the clips).

See Loz's post here for info on where the clips sit:
Mirror cap replacements

To release the rest of the mirror cover clips, I used a solid plastic wedge shaped trim tool and worked it along the gap between the two covers, starting at the outside edge and working in towards door. Take your time and the clips should survive!

14 months old, ticked over to 10k. Bit annoyed I was driving to work for the whole of the first mile so couldn’t snap a picture

Fitted windows in my barn doors today, I wanted to try the doors first before having a go at the whole van just in case I wasn’t upto the job, as these can be replaced easily enough if I failed.
But easy enough to do although took longer than I would have liked even managed to get one of the kids helping. :)

Ah! How does it work? a rotating duct? Is a retrofit possible? Where does the condensation drain to?

It doesn’t work very well.
Well it doesn’t in mine. I wouldn’t waste your time or effort.
You should have one in the wine holder underneath your gear stick. That one works slightly better but it’s not anything to write home about.

Polished the sharp edges off my Kiravans swivel and it’s so much easier now as it doesn’t drag on the nylon sheet, and fitted a 12v socket to the seat base, run from the leisure battery.

Now I can plug my espresso machine into the leisure and not worry about flattening the starter battery!

Also fitted a BM2 while I was messing about!
