Been trying to order some new brake pads, I give the reg number over to suppliers and they all tell me that there are multiple pads for my van and need to see the pads! Well I dont want to take the pads out just to look, then have to put them back whilst I order some, so does anybody here know how I can find the right pads please?

NB:One person wants to know my brake disc size, does anybody know this?

My Van is: Transporter 2016 4 motion LWB Highline

Thanking you all in advance.

have a look at the front discs and measure . . . . . you could have small or large breaks . . . rears are the same.

not 100% but i think T30/T32 with the larger engine may have the larger breaks and others small break set.

it would be nice if there was a website that you could find this spec out just by the reg number!

I will have a look at the van when I get home tonight.

If you look through your wheel at the caliper side on, the larger brakes have a piece of metal thats a different colour on the side, like below.
If you cant see this then you have the smaller brakes.

I've always used them (OEM replacement), but its personal preference to what brand you choose.

Just read this for future info to help me when I need new pads.

What a brilliant forum, full of useful advice and help.

Thanks to all as well

HI,

As seems to be the case with most vehicles these days, there are multiple fitment options when looking for replacement pads and discs.

Is there an easy way to see which ones I need to order short of actually having to remove a wheel first?

Thanks
