Fog-Light retrofit guide

"""Depending on the set up, you may need a power source which will go to position 11 on the block and be routed to a steady positive connection in the fuse box (SC12 in the VW wiring diagram). Mine already had this in place so wasn’t needed."""

Anyone explain this abit more? I have opened my fuse box and the fuse isn't there and is empty. Is it a matter of taking the lower dash off, pulling the fuse box off, plug in the plug and stick a fuse in?

Also anyone in the group doing looms? I would much rather give someone the money here 👍

Hi,

Before I go in and remove the bonnet release, and take the carpet up.

Does anyone have any more photos or other images that show exactly how to access the engine area from the drivers side (T6).

I can see this one on the first page (https://www.t6forum.com/attachments/wiring2-webp.28625/) but it’s not clear how big the hole/entry point is, and I have a number of wires I’d like to get through (leds, front sensors etc.) so I’d really appreciate knowing what I’m dealing with ?

Many thanks

Hi, I have done this a couple of months ago, if the fuse is empty, it is highly likely the fuse holder is empty. So you will need to remove the fuse box (couple of good videos on YouTube and articles herehttps://www.t6forum.com/threads/utilising-spare-fuse-slots.8183/ ) and then fit a fuse holder in the back and run the cabling round the back of the dash to the main connectors.

Removing the fuse box I found a pain (could be an easier way) and running the cables round the back I found fairly easy but just need a lot of patience

Hi, the hole is small and I could only fit my fog light cables through it.

I also didn't need to remove the bonnet release in the end
