It looks like im going to get stung with the greater manchester clean air zone as my T6 is classified as N1,which is going to cost me £9 a day, gutted.
Does anyone know of euro 5 to euro 6 conversions, whos doing them and prices etc??
Is it worth doing or is it worth just getting shut of my camper?
Any help gratefully recieved.

Reports on the motorhome forums of enquiries but no success, seems to be fleets only by the firms that can do it.

I enquired just a few months back - £5500 + VAT with Cybrand.

Many thanks for your enquiry regarding Euro 6 retrofit conversions to suit your Transporter.

We offer a fully accredited Euro 6 Retrofit solution for the Euro 5 model which is approved under the Energy Saving Trust CVRAS scheme. We are now carrying out installations for the expanded rollout of London ULEZ, and the growing number of CAZ’s (Clean Air Zones) across the UK.

Please find below key information:

Hardware

The conversion does not modify the original engine. The retrofit hardware is added to the exhaust stream and involves the introduction of Adblue via an electronic dosing system, a specialist catalytic converter and electronics. (This technology is used as standard on new Euro 6 vehicles). A more detailed description can be found in the attached installation guide (the hardware is pretty much the same for your vehicle).

Pricing

The conversion is priced at £5,500.00 plus VAT. This includes installation and full registration with Energy Saving Trust and the growing number of regional Clean Air Zones.

Installation Time

The time required to complete the conversion is 1-2 days.

Installation venue

  • Chester
Accreditations

The HJS SCR retrofit conversion now has full accreditation with the Energy Saving Trust, which means it is fully eligible for London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), and all Clean Air Zones (CAZ) in the UK including Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh, plus may others due to be rolled out over the next few years. It also has achieved full ABE / ECE European Type Approval.
I wonder if converting to petrol might be better. Certainly for the grin factor, anyway.

I had the same question on my 2006 T5. There the answer is NO. However there is a supplier that is accredited, and claim to convert transporters from 2011 on (with a DPF). I haven’t found anyone who has actually done this.

(Edit - beaten to it!)

In the end I ordered a new T6, which hopefully will arrive before the charging starts for me in 2023.

Resurrecting an old thread I know. I just found out about Cybrand and the retro-fit system for t5.1's. You would think this would filter down now and be cheaper? Or.... we all chip in and buy one and get your van status changed and pass on to the next person and van to do the same
