Boiling water - FAST !!

Credits for this one got to @czmate1999 and @Mick - after seeing @czmate1999 s one at T6F Autumn Camp i had to get one.

One of these has been in the basket for a while now, umming and ahhhing for ages - as they are not cheap.

But with the Missus seeing it in action being expertly demoed by @czmate1999 s wife she signed of on it.

5 days later we had ours.

we went for the JETBOIL FLASH 2.0 in Carbon Black

Overview

Blistering boil times come standard on the Flash personal cooking system, the ultimate camping stove for preparing coffee, soup, or dehydrated meals on the trail. Optimized for efficiency, the Flash boils water in a lightning-quick 100 seconds, making it the fastest Jetboil ever. Jetboil's 1-liter FluxRing cooking cup with insulating cozy makes boiling water—and keeping it warm—a breeze. Start heating instantly with the convenient, reliable pushbutton igniter, and verify that the water's ready with the thermochromatic color-change heat indicator. Compatible Jetboil accessories, such as a coffee press, hanging kit, pot support, skillet, FluxRing cooking pot, and utensils make this a necessity for your next backpacking adventure. Includes fuel canister stabilizer; bottom cup doubles as a measuring cup and a bowl; easy to pack and carry at only 13.1 ounces.

The side window changes colour from BLACK to ORANGE when the water boils,

it uses the same GAS cans as the CADAC and GAS HEATER.

it comes with everything except gas.

well be taking this to run alongside the two small single burner stoves we take.

it will also complement the CADAC.

the Next real world test will be BTCC and Brands Hatch race circuit. - many a cup of tea and coffee will be brewed over the weekend.

+++

there are two versions of the JETBOIL FLASH v1.0 and v2.0

look at the lower burner to see what one is what . . .

v1.0 looks like this:

I bought the JETBOIL back in 2007 and have used it everywhere and in all weathers. Now it's in the back of the campervan as a backup. Highly recommended if you want a very very quick brew or meal.

I have put it on my Watch List, so I get notified when additional comments are made. Don't want miss any good ideas!!!

These are good if you get a rip in your canvas or awning...

I've used similar on my gazebos.... With good results.

The repair lasted for the life of the gazebo.... Using the "cover 50% past" the damage method.
