T6 Wav and camper conversion

Hello
We're moving to the next stage of life where teen daughters no longer want to come away so much but we still have young son who is in a chair.

Looking to buy a T6 and get it adapted for wheelchair access, camper conversion for weekends away (sleep 3) and a general day vehicle (sit 5 incl chair). Haven't got a clue where to start!

Current thoughts are a cassette lift on passenger side, a sliding rock and roll bed behind the wheelchair anchor points. Cupboards, sink, hob, fridge etc along driver side.

I'm assuming I will need seperate companys for the WAV and camper conversions... or does anyone know where would do both ?

Has anyone been on a similar journey and can share tips / ideas? Any existing threads on this ?

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum.

I've not looked through the results to see if there's anything specific for you, but here are the results of a forum search for 'WAV'...

Most of the conversions I’ve seen have 2 rows of single seats either side of the wheelchair access, which is down the middle. I guess if you keep the access clear down the middle and just use 1 row, you can get some sort of kitchen/cupboard arrangement down the other side.

I think your biggest headache might be sleeping arrangements as most of the solutions are geared around a R&R bed in the back…
Your best bet might be you 2 sleeping in a poptop roof and a single folding bed for your lad. Fabworx do a single bed but not sure if it will fit with WAV requirements as well…

When I was looking, there was a chap near me that had a lot of mobility vans in. Good source for some ideas no doibt
