Camping Ideas and Tips

Haha….You lot. …..You wait till your knees play up….gets bad when you buy loads of stuff via AGE CONCERN:laugh::laugh::laugh:
My bloomin doormat is already a disgrace when the postie has been….no takeaway flyers….all bloomin equity release, funeral planning, care homes, even “meals on wheels” and lots of free Parker pen offers!

Mind you, some of that stuff in Cotton Traders…..!!!

I had one of these . . . same colour as well.

it didnt suit our purpose as it didn't have enough meat on it.

by that i mean the hammer end wasn't heavy enough to smash the pegs into hard ground.

the peg puller end worked fine.

++

we ended up giving it to the Farv Inlaw for his fishing kit . . . . He seems very happy with it.

so a good outcome in the end.

A 2lb lump hammer is what gets the pegs in & the £9 jobbie pulls them back out again!

with these Mallets . . . - https://amzn.to/3n62EGk

solid metal mallets or the hard rubber . . . . (i mainly use the hard rubber mallets for the GRP Fiberglass flag poles and ALU Jormax windbreak poles so just naturally use them for tent steel pegs. . . . . but if we have very hard Stoney ground then the Big-Boy lump hammer comes out to play =] )

Just take the necessities with you and no extra luggage to get yourself tired during the hike. And make sure you have a good sleeping bag for comfortable sleep.

Next up new for 2022 is a Bad-ass

Single burner gas stove.

We first see this little monster at Busfest-21 - ( Thanks for the heads up guys =} )

its been doing the round in the Fishing / Carp community and is highly recommended . .

The main benefits are, it has rubber feet, piezo igniter, heat shield, and the best bit - an integrated heat pipe that pre-heats the fuel before it gets to the burner,

this means it works well in cold and windy weather . . . its also multi fuel.

it comes with a nice little storage bag

This is ours . . .

its a power full little beast that will happily have a frypan or a kettle sitting ontop . .

we have been using c500 gas cans during testing . . . .
