Awesome 3-in-1 Battery Bank - How I done It -

Dell how long did it run your cool box for ?
I didn't run it totally flat.

But at 80w the ETA was 4hr45m on this battery box

That was a 3way fridge.

The 12v cooler boxes draw around 60w cycling. (Thermo electric)

And the best is the 12v compressor fridges. . . . Which will last the longest.

The 12v cooler boxes draw around 60w cycling. (Thermo electric) This is the figure I was trying to find but couldn't. Yes the 80w max figure is the only one shown. If pre cooled on AC it will draw about 60w in the van rather than constantly drawing the 80w max ?

Yeh sort of..

Depending on the cooler box they will cycle the fan speed and peiter element... so will potentially cycle 100%, 50%, 100%, 50% type thing.

Have a look at this old video I done few years back.

I run 2x 12v cooler boxes from a leisure battery.

My tests showed it was more efficient running via a small 240v inverter as it cycled down to a lower speed.

On 12v dc it just run at the higher speed..

Power draw was about 5A (5ah, 60w) each at the start.

Which then dropped to around 2.5A (2.5ah 30w)

Either way tho these two boxes running would kill an 110ah AGM in one day.... (so I swapped one for a compressor fridge and added solar to help charge and power it all.... which you can see in my other threads)

Sweet. Another question answered. Take extra note of trying an inverter rather than the obvious direct fag socket.

had a little cable make up session today . . .

and some Anderson Power Poles . . .

i made up a small link lead,

then a larger MC4 - MC4 extension cable . . .

Ordered one of these a few days ago (now trying to find good reasons why) and it arrived today. Way quicker than I expected and much smaller than I expected.

Great....

Post some pics of how your using your new mobile power pack.

what are the solar connectors on the unit - buying a solar panel next that I can use in the van on the dash and attacehd to this when camping. I have put some MC4 connectors onto my ctek 250se in readiness, and think they are Anderson Powerpole on this unit? Would these be the right things

More things I didnt know I needed to buy, but think this with a 100w panel could be a useful camping accessory and should just about run a fridge for a weekend with solar connected. Be very useful.

Yes power pole conector for solar input..

I've made some leads up too.

Mc4 to power pole so I can use any panel with it.

Scroll up for pics of them.

Thanks. I think I worked out that the female Mc4 was for positive output from the solar panel. Just ordered a panel so will make up a lead to go to this unit like you did. Thanks for the heads up!

Mc4 conectors are polarity conscious in respect where the power is coming from.

So start at the panel and work your way back.

I made a few MC4 extension leads too.

And previously bought a couple of MC4 PV premade cables. 5mtr I think.

So this morning I plugged in my big compressor coolfreeze fridge into this. Started at 22 degrees at about 10:30am. Temp set to 2 degrees on the hottest day of the year (33 degrees) in the boot of the van but tailgate open till about 6pm. Just checked it at just after midnight and about 20% left. Not bad for a very hot day.

Nice test...

Try the test again but using the 240v.... to see the difference, it may run longer? .. or shorter.

I've got a similar fridge.... but it's still packed away in the garage.

Has ur ALLPOWERS not got rubber covers over the 240v sockets?

Yes very interested in this test running through an inverter. Remember Dell post about the thermo ones running longer. @Dellmassive

It didnt make itthrough the night. At 7am the fridge (still in the boot of the van) was showing 10 degrees and the battery protection had kicked in, and charger was on about 15%. Still, a very hot night here so a extreme test. If I had put a solar panel (on order!) onto the pack during the day yesterday, I reckon I could have run the fridge for 2 days probably.

It is just recharging at the moment, then will try again connected to 240v socket. no rubber covers on them! No USB C charger included either...

FYI:

your using the 12v outlet on the LHS with is 10Amp unregulated.

1593161560888.png

the 12v ports on the RHS ARE regulated meaning they will keep the 12.8v output for the full 100% of the battery pack (but are limited to 5Amps each

it means you will be able to run the fridge longer if its happy on those ports.

i show the difference here:

This is also another reason to re-try the test as the inverter section will use all 100% of the available battery pack capacity.

- thats strange? . . . i wonder if you have a newer verion?

can you post some pics of the serial number and other sides of the pack? . . . and the charger?

my two are :

GLD0329 & GLD0367

The first come with the standard power brick, the second come with an additional USB-C PD 60W charger.
