If you don't understand why they are adjustable it might be a good idea to leave them . The adjustable damping is there for specific needs and applications , The supplier should know all this information surely .

As correctly mentioned they are pre set in their most comfortable setup out of the box, so no real need to adjust them unless of course your particularly after a firmer setup.
I find them spot on out the box as they are.
