What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Fitted my Clearcut conversions passenger swivel seat. So impressed. Quick & easy to install & the lockable safe thing is a nice touch too. No movement whatsoever and nice smooth action. Added some of my favourite white spray grease anyway as a belt & braces thing as used on previous vehicles swivels.

This is the standard offering from Clearcut, so £208 including delivery. Perfectly aligns with the driver’s seat (only the 1 swivel needed).

Today I gave my roof a good scrub in readiness for a poptop install next week
It's amazing (or not) how minging it was.
First time I have cleaned it since I got the van in November and probably the first time cleaned since new

Today I found the limits of Michelin Cross Climate 2's and 4Motion......
I have been impatiently waiting to cut up some dead oak branches that have fallen off over winter, so today I chucked my chainsaw, PPE, tools, fuel etc in the back of the van, dropped the tyre pressures to 25PSI and set off.
Of course I should have walked the route first, then I'd have found that it was far too wet and soft and that, in fact, it was a daft idea.
Two minutes later.......

It was utterly stuck, no chance of it coming out under its own power, all 4 wheels spinning hopelessly.
So a short walk back to get help.....

John Deere vintage 1977, never fails to do as I ask it, and Mrs D...... I'll say no more!
Towed it out easily, but left a bit of a mess.

A job for the AVA P80 Pressure washer!

So, in summary, I made my day a whole lot more difficult than it needed to be!

Shed envy, dog envy.

Well that job included a few nervous moments!
