Ah, it's powder not a liquid - I hadn't twigged that. Just wondering how I can get that into my captive tank.Subtle self reminder. My van 'bucket' is 13 litres. Bit more for the awning 15 litre Ridge Monkey bucket.

How do you fill your tank? Underslung 60 litre?Ah, it's powder not a liquid - I hadn't twigged that. Just wondering how I can get that into my captive tank.![]()
A 25 litres tank over the o/s rear wheel-arch. Fill it with a hose via a Bullfinch inlet point. How do you fill your tank? Underslung 60 litre?
Sounds posh. Any way of introducing other waters into the mix? Half full tank and take it for a sloshy drive..?A 25 litres tank over the o/s rear wheel-arch. Fill it with a hose via a Bullfinch inlet point.
Silly question maybe but how does that work? Aren’t these for a pressurised supply and external pump? Even if not how do you not overfill the tank badly each time you top up?A 25 litres tank over the o/s rear wheel-arch. Fill it with a hose via a Bullfinch inlet point.
Hmm, how well does this stuff dissolve?Sounds posh. Any way of introducing other waters into the mix? Half full tank and take it for a sloshy drive..?
I presume the tank is vented, as tap pressure is all that's required. If overfilled, a pressure release valve opens and the excess water is dumped under the van.Silly question maybe but how does that work? Aren’t these for a pressurised supply and external pump? That could work, it dissolves well with a bit of agitation, and a 'rough road' drive would reach all corners of the tank... leave it for a couple of hours, drain the tank, run it through the tap. Refill, jobsagoodun.Hmm, how well does this stuff dissolve?
I'll probably funnel neat product into the end of the hose and then fill the the tank as usual.
Still can’t quite get my head round that, I’d be interested in a seeing a plumbing diagram if you have one but anyway, if it does dump excess water under the van surely you can pump water through it for half an hour or something to give it a good flush throughI presume the tank is vented, as tap pressure is all that's required. Driving anywhere around here involves rough roads! That could work, it dissolves well with a bit of agitation, and a 'rough road' drive would reach all corners of the tank... leave it for a couple of hours, drain the tank, run it through the tap. Refill, jobsagoodun.
A flush through is good but it won't get rid of the bacterial build up that hides in those hard to reach places! The build up of slimy stuff on my water pump is removed completely with it sat in Puriclean water for a couple of hours. Through the tap into the sink down the plughole, cleans all that pipework too, and the output onto the drive, I obviously mean the bowl I have underneath the van to catch the output...Still can’t quite get my head round that, I’d be interested in a seeing a plumbing diagram if you have one but anyway, if it does dump excess water under the van surely you can pump water through it for half an hour or something to give it a good flush through
No diagram I'm afraid.Still can’t quite get my head round that, I’d be interested in a seeing a plumbing diagram if you have one but anyway, if it does dump excess water under the van surely you can pump water through it for half an hour or something to give it a good flush through
It’s 50% bicarbonate of soda!Hmm, how well does this stuff dissolve?

i also do thisI mix it in an old plastic measuring jug and pour it in to rhe tank via a funnel.
