I always thought it was a decent Single Malt...
If you have nothing better to do, it’s a boring read but it seems that the majority of fukwits driving vehicles can’t identify a non tread issue with a tyre.
That said how are they going to be able to monitor the age of the tyre if they never look at them?
Whatever happens it will need to be a phased implementation or the UK will be short of tyres and tyre fitters.
Also mentions DPFs, so don’t go gutting them or you may have an expensive purchase to make.
Mr MOT will be happy to do it for them as an advisory or a fail.
There will be no shortage of tyre fitters. Its not like the training takes long. It took me about half hour on my day off in the police workshop to learn how to swap and balance a boot. When one expires they dump the corpse in a skip and hire another hobo off the street.
Yes just get a trim removal tool and prise off the covers. Then it’s just 4 screws per sun visor.
Gave the van a good clean today. Snow foam, shampoo and a top up of Gyeon wet coat. I was going to clay and then re-do Gyeon CanCoat but I couldn’t be bothered so I’ll save that for another day next month!

Perfect time to do the pop top which I've neglected for the last 2 years.
Bugger me, that was stubborn to remove, all done with a DA polisher and T Cut colour magic.
2hrs alone, just doing the roof.
Satisfying in a sadistic type of way.
My arms are shot to bits now.
Still, it's now done and dusted.

Loving the pop top roof job you’ve done…. Can I ask exactly how you did it and what products? Mines looking very faded also!!
Months of deciding what to do with my suspension have been, but today has been the day!
After finally deciding on coilovers, i went with So-Low NSL's and my local VW Camper specialists - Supreme Conversions.
After a very thorough discussion of how i use my camper, the weight of the vehicle being a LWB etc and the look i was after but not wanting the ride to be terrible - i was constantly reassured that the ride will be great compared to the standard T32 setup i had.
So, my kit was fitted, along with HD Top mounts, HD rear lower spring rubbers and longer drop links. All adjusted perfectly and looks fantastic - with still adjustment to go lower if i wanted to.
Now for the test drive, oh my days! I am absolutely amazed! My van has been transformed! Its so much smoother, bumps are loads less crashy, its just everything i didnt think it would be with coilovers and essentially 90mm drop!
The team at Supreme Conversions have constantly told me So-Lows are the way to go, they were right, the grin on my face will confirm that to anyone!

I tried with snow foam and wash Mit, but to no avail.
In the end it was T Cut colour magic on a sponge applicator using the DA polisher, buff off with microfiber wheel, applied ceramic coating and buffed using the lambs wool wheel.
Ill not be neglecting the roof in the future.
Took it to have the DSG oil and filter changed.
Looks very good now! Top job.
I think I will have to get out and do mine…. Iv read the polytrol route etc but this looks good!
You definitely deserve a beer or two after all that!
Sun visors - do get a little pick to help the plastic covers off, or they will break, and you will have to replace them (quite cheap).
The console cover is more work with a little pick, and then multiple screws. Keep a note of which are long and short screws.
