I’m going to have to nip to the garage and checkHammerite underbody seal ? Yellow can ?
Thats a tremendous website - thanks for sharingFinally got round to fitting my new knob, a well worthwhile investment in time & money. A word of warning only buy if you have a manual van. Oh and dont, just dont lose a flippin trim clip and then have to order a replacement (3B0867190) from vehicleclips.co.uk. Not that I did obviously.
Soo all day then ?Washed, clayed and waxed the van for winter protection, did the car yesterday as well.
yea, it wasnt a quick job...Soo all day then ?
Do you do this to stop anything growing in there while not in use? If so, what do you use if you do not mind me askingDrained and refilled the water tank.

About once a month I drain and refill about half way. Leaving some space facilitates lots of slipping about, which is good for cleanliness.Do you do this to stop anything growing in there while not in use? If so, what do you use if you do not mind me asking
Thanks for this, as @Bav mentions. I have used Milton sterilising solution in the past. I will have a look at puriclean tooAbout once a month I drain and refill about half way. Leaving some space facilitates lots of slipping about, which is good for cleanliness.
Final tank prior to draining for winter I give it a dose of Puriclean.
Rinse and repeat in the spring, another dose of Puriclean halfway through the season.
That seems to keep it clean enough, and any water for human consumption goes through the kettle anyway.
I'm a Puriclean bloke too, twice during the season, once at the end. Not dead yet! We always take out a dozen little bottles of drinking water, usually bringing 10 back home! Thanks for this, as @Bav mentions. I have used Milton sterilising solution in the past. I will have a look at puriclean too
I usually leave it in for 30 minutes and flush it outJust been looking at Puriclean and it says it's non-corrosive - a big adavantage over Milton. Do you guys leave it in long-term over winter or rinse out after a few hours?
Likewise. There is no water left in the container overnight, or over winter. Puriclean again in spring.I usually leave it in for 30 minutes and flush it out
