What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

I go the old fashioned route - can’t remember the brand but it’s a tin from Halfords - like oily tar - whack it on with a brush. I’ve been tempted to try Lanoguard but had a full tin in the garage to use up. I have an mk2 MX5 that gets a coat every year and it’s pretty much rot free

Just wiring the van and got on of these C-Line 12v Bluetooth speakers, pretty good sound for its size, works well for background music and plan to mount in a 3 socket face plate along with a dimmer and 240v socket. NOTE: Plaster is due to slicing hand whilst carpeting last weekend :D

Finally got round to fitting my new knob, a well worthwhile investment in time & money. A word of warning only buy if you have a manual van :D. Oh and dont, just dont lose a flippin trim clip and then have to order a replacement (3B0867190) from vehicleclips.co.uk. Not that I did obviously.
Thats a tremendous website - thanks for sharing

Washed the van , cut, polished and sealed 2 rear wheels , cleaned up and inspected rear brakes and suspension ready for its mot .
Got fronts to do next .

Do you do this to stop anything growing in there while not in use? If so, what do you use if you do not mind me asking
About once a month I drain and refill about half way. Leaving some space facilitates lots of slipping about, which is good for cleanliness.

Final tank prior to draining for winter I give it a dose of Puriclean.

Rinse and repeat in the spring, another dose of Puriclean halfway through the season.

That seems to keep it clean enough, and any water for human consumption goes through the kettle anyway.

Thanks for this, as @Bav mentions. I have used Milton sterilising solution in the past. I will have a look at puriclean too

Just been looking at Puriclean and it says it's non-corrosive - a big adavantage over Milton. Do you guys leave it in long-term over winter or rinse out after a few hours?

I usually leave it in for 30 minutes and flush it out
