Not today but recently; wanted to test it for a week (and drive to Snowdon and back) before commenting…
Finally have the TTE450 hybrid turbo fitted, along with custom down pipe, milltek 200 cell sports cat, and Racingline software. Also went from milltek exhaust to standard by having OEM centre and rear silencers fitted to keep things a bit more OEM+ on the noise front.
I haven’t had a LOBA high pressure fuel pump fitted as I haven’t been able to source one. I got the wrong item posted to me twice and then told of a long wait for it. I’m told it’s a recommended rather than required upgrade. Will likely do this when stock is available.
I haven’t had it dyno’d yet but I’m using the same parts as another example apart from Forge rather than Wagner IC. That one is tested at ~420bhp.
I need to take it back to BMVS to have the TVS stage 2 map removed from the DSG as although it works with the added power, the gear changes just seem to be in the wrong place now. Power has moved to around 3000rpm and it’s much more usable when driving using paddles in manual. Once removed, I can get the Racingline DSG map to match the new ECU map that’s been applied.
It’s a lot of fun. Traction can be a bit of an issue but not as bad as I thought it might be. ESC hasn’t triggered much in the very dry driving I’ve been doing this last week. Wet road is likely different based on a test drive I did in the other van.
So a few small things still to finish off, but overall it’s what I hoped it would be.
