What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

@moomin-j do you mean the existing chrome strips on the top grill?
- looking to change mine to black and hoping the chrome trim just comes off.

thank you :)
As @Big.mac said in post 2377
Without a trim tool, I don't think it would come off, as the original clips are pretty well fitted.
The grill is female and the trims are male.
Just take your time, don't force anything and all will be good. Once you know where the clips are, it all is quite easy. 10 mins job done.
For the top (chrome strips) I also found it was better to start removing from the outsides and work towards the badge, as the trim slots (very slightly) into the badge diameter.
Hope the above helps...

It does, both the chrome trim on the upper grill and the black one on the lower grill just clip on. Use a trim tool if you have one.

looks good...1275gt perhaps ( not standard wheels) but very nice :thumbsup::thumbsup:
No its 1967 standard 850 auto, I do have the original bits I've removed, but I managed to get hold of an original set of reverse rims. It was a chance find last summer and I couldn't turn it down, would love the extra power and a manual box, but not many of these original automatics around now.

But it’s not about power ...it’s adoring looks you get from envious enthusiasts ( back in the day I had 1750 twin cam allegro equipe was fast but eat CV joints ) LOL

Van stripped, window cut outs done ready for windows today. Pop top roof supports to be installed later this week and pop top to be installed.

Forgot to post on Monday. Van is dropped off at Notjustcampers for its conversion. Really really excited!!
