Well - I've had Buster now since early 2019.
Bought as a LWB panel van and converted by the nice folk @AJCConversions immediately after.
Before it landed back with the moomin family, we started buying "stuff".
Some "stuff" we knew we needed, some "stuff" we thought we needed and other "stuff" the great Forum collective suggested we needed.

I have a lot of bought "stuff" that is squirreled away in various places (shed, garage, spare bedroom, office, stores at work etc.) as if the chief accountant got to find out about it, my life would not be as good as it is today...

So this is a list of stuff, I have bought, but not (yet) fitted or used:

1. Vw logo'd 3 piece doorstep mats - bought 2019
2. Vw front & rear chrome badges, sprayed matt black - bought 2019
3. Vw front underneath logo plastic, sprayed Bamboo Green - bought 2019

11. Vw new rear calipers & carriers - bought 2021

13. Nutexa 340mm dimpled discs & pads from @CRS Performance - bought 2023
14. Nutexa 294mm dimpled discs & pads from @CRS Performance - bought 2023
15. Vw Golf Mk 7.5 flat bottomed steering wheel (spare 1, no buttons) from @Texxaco - bought 2023
16. Vw star washers, purchased "just in case" - bought 2023

19. Vw wheel nut covers, painted Bamboo Green by @Alan@Crafted automotive - bought 2023
20. Vw logo'd st/steel valve covers - bought 2023
21. Fiamma F45S new front end cap - bought 2023
22. Swooshy 12v front bonnet lights (2 sets - 1 set purchased as a "spare"!!) - bought 2023

23. Aluminium drivers footrest & infill painted black by @Alan@Crafted automotive - Xmas prezzie 2023
24. Upper front grill red stripes - Xmas prezzie 2023

So there it is - my list of "stuff" to fit, that I really should have already fitted.
I must do better in 2024 :D
I know a trip to @CRS Performance is on the cards Q1 this year for a suspension upgrade.
A few of the above "stuff will be fitted at the same time.
This has had partial clearance / agreement from the chief accountant for pennies to be wisely invested
Steve & Steve's lad will be glad to see the back of me, as every time I see them, I remind them that 1 day I will be making that important trip to CRS HQ @ Cannock, with my ever growing list of jobs.

I actually feel a little bit better now, that I've shared everything I've hoarded with the great T6 Forum family

Anybody else with "stuff" to fit?

Edit:
@Skyliner33 - You of anybody must have "stuff" stashed away after all the "change of mind" things you've bought?

That trip to @CRS Performance has to be a must…. you could have your H&R ARB’s fitted, your big brake kit including your new pads…. and now that Steve has a specialist wheel alignment system you could get that done too…. tell the chief accountant that you could be scrubbing your tyres and you don’t want to waste money on them wearing out prematurely.

A box of sound deadening to go on the scuttle panel to lower engine noise, bought 9 months ago.

Yes, but my meagre list isn't worth publishing compared to the moomin horde! Let me know when you're at Steve's, he should organise a T6F open day!

This is going to end up being the confessionals thread isn't it?

Not a huge list yet but
  • Never used the Alpicool fridge on a trip yet
  • Set of Osram Blue for the front fogs sitting in the kitchen
  • A variety of LED lights to try and make some better ambient lighting in the back
  • A BM2 for the starter battery
  • A CTEK comfort indicator for the starter battery
  • A complete replacement set of Shuttle/Caravelle interior LED units I hope to convert to warm white
  • A spare rear seat trims, a bunch of ex fusebox wires and relays I have to wire up a cut-off switch for the electric tailgate
  • A pile of ripstop nylon, magnets and awning rail clamps and some plastic batons to make a stubby side awning (well mostly MrsR with the sewing voodoo)
  • A Maguire Clay Bar Kit (to see if it's all snake oil or if there is anything in it)

That trip to @CRS Performance has to be a must…. you could have your H&R ARB’s fitted, your big break kit including your new pads…. and now that Steve has a specialist wheel alignment system you could get that done too…. tell the chief accountant that you could be scrubbing your tyres and you don’t want to waste money on them wearing out prematurely.
That's the master plan...
Steve has already been forewarned the number of jobs to complete

The chief accountant is not fully aware of the work scope though.
Forum discount rules will definitely be applied to this purchase

I feel positively organised and on top on things when I compare my list with yours @moomin-j.
  1. Security bolt and shroud for the spare wheel (location: somewhere 'safe' - bugger knows where ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
  2. T6 Forum badges (location: 'filed' in one of a dozen paperwork mountains scattered around the office, front room and spare bedroom)
  3. Detachable tow-bar (never fitted/used and currently located in the utility room, much to Mrs Bav's displeasure)
  4. Atera Strada DL3 bike carrier bought from @Eli (location: in spare bedroom, awaiting fitment of item #3)
  5. Vango Camp Chef portable pizza oven (location: in the van - used once at home, but never whilst camping)
There's probably other items that I've forgotten about/ misplaced.

Leighton Vans badge less gloss black grille.
Travellin-Lite gloss black lower grilles.
Front and rear Nutexa grooved and dimpled discs.
New pads for the above.
Replacement “Golf” door seals.

By ‘Eck @moomin-j that is quite some list!
My list is just some indicator repeaters for the mirror covers and the buttons, connectors and pins to add the Hill Descent Assist & TCS Off facility.

Oh, and after the stifling heat at Busfest last year, I have bought some camp netting for shade when its hot.

Good luck fitting all your stuff!

My confessional is buying, not actually using or realising I didn’t actually need, and then selling again at my loss and someone else’s gain  I try to not keep stuff that is sitting in cupboards - if something appears unused then it gets sold asap (even if it means having to repurchase ).

However, I do have the following unfitted items:

1. Factory Kombi window latch repair kit nearside
2. Suedeliner for the SWB headlining
3. Leisure 12v fusebox
4. Tapo TPLink CCTV cameras x2 (one was fitted but removed it and need to fit both)
5. Meyle HD drop links (bought in case I needed them when fitting coilovers, which I didn’t)
6. MPPT that came with solar panel (but probably buying a Victron one instead)
7. Passenger seat base rear plastic cover (arrived last week and been too cold to fit this weekend)
8. AUDISON bass knob (is connected to amp but not ‘installed’)
9. Interior LED bulbs
10. 10L Adblu (waiting for topup warning to appear)

I’ve got quite a few things not yet fitted:
> A tailgate power latching kit I bought off someone on the forum over 4 years ago
> Side storage nets for rear - 6 years
> Black FIAMMA tailgate bike rack - 4 years
> A Thule Omnistor awning - 6 months +
> Climair wind deflectors - last summer
> Also have a van style splitter from Black Friday
> And a starter battery - 3 weeks ish!
I’m sure there’s a few other bits too…

I’ve realised I tend to buy things and not actually use them, I’m aiming stop my addiction in 2024 and may even try to sell some of the unused things around the house / garage!!…

I have a set of H7 headlights in the shed. Been there for the best part of 2 years I think.
I really must get round to swapping out the H4’s.

Pete
Could you do a before and after video to show the difference in performance?

My LWB T6 T30 camper!! Bought it back in November, picking it up next Monday.
Apparently, patience is a virtue!
What "stuff" have you already bought for it though?
You must have prebought something before collection of the camper?
