Vcds Audio Options

There's been mention on some threads about using VCDS to activate the fader function, when rear speakers are added.

Just wondering what other options or tick boxes are available under the audio headings? Is there an option to tell the head unit to recognise a factory fitted amplifier for example? If such a thing exists in the VW range of optional extras?

All the options in there are to specify what kit is factory fitted ie number of speakers/usb setup etc etc most of them won’t do anything without kit behind present

11 – 0 = Internal/External Sound System active/installed.

So whatever internal sound system (as above), if its fitted ,has a module that has to be coded to the head unit or whatever other module it may interact with. Simply activating this function wouldn't fool the head unit into thinking it's powering a low level feed to an amp. Have I understood that the right way mate?
