I have tried the cables the other way, after 6 hrs of messing around today....Thank you for your help.. and response to my questions dellmasive... I appreciate it. I don't have a charger.. I think maybe I have to claim defeat and buy another battery as I'm currently in the candlelight in the van no power for the last week now ha
Since you took ownership of the Valence batteries you will have always needed a battery charger with a lithium battery mode.
I’m not sure how long you’ve owned them or how you’ve been charging them until now but it’s a small hurdle to get the correct charger.

No I wouldn't buy those batteries in this day and age.
I've well moved on from those, and now use more modern lithium batteries with all the built-in safety features and BMS.
Those batteries are old and lack a lot of safety features, even though the sales should be good for 10 years at least four-star but I now value all of the safety features and consider them impoltern.
And the price for £100 lithium is now well below 400 pound.
There are however people that will buy them on eBay etc.
you need to keep the laptop connected and the software running. . . then do a full charge - 24,48hrs - a week if needs be.
you will see the balancer circuit kick in when the cells start to reach 90%+
the battery should recover - but as its not been ballance for a very long time . . . the proceedure will take a long time.
post loads of screen shots at the proces goes...
i dont have these batteries anymore, but find them interesting. ( sold my last one a few years ago )
and you work here will help others in future.

Connect the laptop to the battery and run the software...... Set the laptop to stay on all the time.
Connect the Victron charger up and connect the Victron connect app ... On your phone.
Remember to add a fuse to the cable at the battery POS connection,
Set to charger mode, and set to the default lithium profile. Now charge for 12-24hrs.
I wouldn't leave it unattended over night, so switch off charging, and restart the following day....
The battery will be fully charged when it's pulling less than 1A from the charger.
The Victron charger will move to float/storage mode a few times, when I does, just restart the charge cycle.
. Pay some pics of your progress.

Looks like it's still drawing 9.9A, keep going till that drops to under 1A.
And off you want it sorry full up.... Keep going till it's under 0.2A.
