T6 vs T5.1 differences

If you have a barn-door van, then yes - the rear bumper (roof spoiler, taillamp (shape) and barn doors) are the same across the T5.1 and the T6.

If you have a tailgate van then no - the bumper profiles are different. However, you can use a T5.1 bumper with a T6 tailgate without issue - all you’ll see is that the profile around the bottom corners of the tailgate is slightly different, as is the shape of the reflectors.

Difference between barn-door bumper and tailgate bumper?
Hi sorry to be bringing this back up. I have searched the forum and this seems like the closest thread. I have a T5.1 tailgate with broken bumper and can only find a T6 tailgate bumper as a replacement. Are these cross compatible? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Do not hold me to this but a T6 barn door bumper should fit your T5.1 tailgate. The difference on a T5.1 tailgate or barn door bumper is the corner where the door opens. A tailgate bumper will not let the barn door swing wide enough open. T6 and T5.1 barn doors are the same so barn door bumpers should be the same. T6 tailgate bumpers are completely different. On a barn door bumper you have to pull the caps off each side so the bumper caps from below the tail lights can clip in
