Hello Fellow T6'ers!!

I'm am almost at the stage in my conversion where I need to consider details within the electrical install.

Being a complete novice, can anyone direct me to any good DIY guides, posts, YouTube vids, etc...

Thanks in advance!

Ian

If you haven’t already, have a look at @travelvolts website and read his advice.
You want to determine what you might want, where you want it and what future-proofing you may wish to consider. He sells stuff in both kit and single form, so you can then just map out what goes where and how much cable etc you need. His website mentions it but make sure you account for voltage drop.

One for the beginners, if anybody finds this useful or wants to have a go at 12v wiring at a very basic level.

The two diagrams show,

1) A basic lighting circuit including an appliance like a fridge also.
2) A rear image of a 3 pin switch showing how to wire something like a volt metre (those panels you can buy off ebay that come pre-wired with fag lighter, volt metre and a usb with a switch above each)

You could knock this up at home in the garage if you have your equipment and practice it before fitting - super basic and super simple to follow.
There are more modern fittings and such that you can use rather than push on male/female connectors but this is the very basic circuit - it works - been doing it this way for over two decades and teaching noobies how to do it this way more or less.
